My global internship experience in Madrid, Spain, with Absolute Internship made my summer unforgettable! I had an amazing time doing the 8-week program with Absolute Internship. I had the opportunity to travel to three different countries during my program and got to explore all over Spain. I met amazing people and I am very grateful for the experience and memories made throughout this internship.

Spending time in Madrid as part of a marketing placement was one of the best experiences I've had. It gave me the opportunity to develop practical marketing skills in an international environment while learning from talented people with different perspectives. Every day brought new challenges that helped me grow both professionally and personally. Outside of work, Madrid was an amazing city to explore. From the food and culture to the lively atmosphere, there was always something new to experience. One of the biggest highlights was the friendships I made along the way. I met incredible people from around the world, and together we created memories that I'll always look back on fondly. This experience boosted my confidence, improved my communication skills, and gave me a greater appreciation for working in a multicultural environment. I joined Absolute Internship in the summer of 2025 for a 4-week internship in Madrid, Spain, and by the time the program ended, my only regret was not signing up for the full 8 weeks! Absolute Internship did a great job at organizing events and dinners, that way people in the program was able to meet new people and get to talk to everyone in the program. The community support system organized by absolute also did a good job at always taking care of student's needs.

My internship at Corzo de Dios was an extremely rewarding experience, providing valuable insight into contemporary practise in Madrid alongside broader insight into European trends. The work provided was engaging and helpful in developing my modelling & visualisation skills; the firm was also very welcoming!

My experience with Absolute Internship was phenomenal. The support before, during and after my experience was more than I could have ever planned on. My internship in Madrid was such a transformative experience. I studied International Relations & Global Studies in undergrad and worked at a local non-profit organization in Madrid that supports those who have been displaced due to economical crisis, addiction, or other causes. Working here helped me grow as a young professional while also getting to make meaningful change in people's lives. Additionally, I made some of the greatest friendships and memories through my internship at Absolute while also getting to travel around Spain!

Madrid was such a great place to study. Madrid is very big so there's a lot of different things to do. From parks, great food, people, fun clubs, and things to see. I had my own room with a gym in the basement, so I really coudnt have asked for better housing. I also was able to travel around Spain alot, for fairly cheap. Overall unforgettable trip The places I would recommend are Tiki Taco, the Reina Sofía, El Retiro Park, a tour of Real Madrid stadium, Wow Hall, Icon, El Capital, Divorare sandwiches, any rooftop bar, brutal bar, and Tierra Burrito Bar. Also Zara, has such good prices and catalogs. 10x better than American Zaras

The whole placement process was very stressful sincr the provider had many problems finding the right company for me, but in the end it was such a great experience. Madrid is a beautiful city, full of history and art but fun at the sime time.

Interning with Absolute was an investment that I did not expect to have such a big impact on me. It was my first solo endeavor abroad, living in my own terms, and working for a company full-time. The housing staff were amazing and I was able to get to know the city via locals on full 3 hour chats at the front desk. The Absolute Internship team were incredibly helpful from the start; since our first meeting to know more of my area to my positioning in a company, the job interview and on-site, the care the team shows to you in hopes of you having a wonderful experience is immense. Working on-site with the film production company was also amazing, getting to see their processes first hand and being involved in recordings, post-production and even having lunch with the co-workers. Living in Madrid was also incredible, it’s a vibrant and safe city in which you are able to explore many great historic places, eateries and meet great people. This program also allowed me to further enrich my résumé, also being able to meet my co-workers after the program ended back in my hometown to attend a film festival and getting to meet new film directors afterwards. It’s an investment that keeps on giving, as long as you just say ‘yes’ and take the plunge.

My experience at absolute internship was amazing. From the people I met to the area I worked in I enjoyed it so much. Even though I knew little to no Spanish- which was not a concern as you don’t need to know the local language to take part in the programme- I still managed to get around the city and communicate with the other interns and workers at my law placement. If I could rate my experience out of 10 it wouldn’t be enough as I enjoyed it so much and I am very tempted to enrol in a different city

This internship represented a great personal growth, above all because I was able to put my knowledge into practice in real cases. It was a process of adaptation, so resilience and organization greatly influenced being able to have an internship full of learning.

I have been working for 8 weeks as intern at OUTER Spain in Madrid, Spain. Under the guidance of my awesome boss Pilar, I had the opportunity to learn more about Communication and Marketing. We have been woking together for the World Corporate Golf Challenge, which is one the most established global B2B golf tournament in the world, open to top level executives who are passionated about golf. I have been given my contribution as for editing texts, preparing and sending interviews for the 2022 Final Magazine. I successfully achieved my internship’s goals in terms of planning and implementing the company’s social media strategy in order to increase awareness in light of the 2022 World Final. During those weeks I have been constantly working alongside copywriters and designers to ensure content was informative and appealing. Additionally, I have been learning how to analyse current social media trends and provide constructive feedbacks both qualitatively and quantitatively. A huge thank you goes to OUTER Spain, my boss Pilar de la Puente and the rest of the Communication&Marketing department for the internship opportunity and for teaching me about communication and marketing practises over the summer. Lastly, an immense thank you goes to Absolute Internship, specifically to Sabrina Starke, Melissa Rodriguez, Virginia Alomar Lopez and Erin Bouwma for finding me a placement and for making my international experience possible and so memorable.

Absolute Internship was an amazing experience. I loved my internship and learned so much about marketing and the Spanish culture in the workplace. The absolute group was incredible and I met so many great friends. I could not have asked for a better experience and recommend absolute internship to anyone looking into it.

I was at first hesitant about joining a summer internship program with people i’ve never met before. I thought that the first couple of days would be awkward and would be lonely. But from the second I met my program colleagues at the airport is when I felt relaxed, at that moment I knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience. Overall, I am very satisfied with everything that this program offered: the residence housing, the internship opportunity, the friends we met along the way, the front desk people at the residence, our program coordinators, and the “prison” food that we always miss when we’re away in the weekends. I have achieved so much in a span of two months, even though the company I was working for was a startup under construction, I was working under full autonomy and on my own pace. I managed to create flyers from scratch that have now been printed and shared around the most important hotels in the city center! I also enjoyed learning the different cultures in the program and Spanish culture as a whole!

If you don't know whether to do an internship, I recommend Absolute Internship without a second thought. I had a wonderful experience. I have no regrets! from the comfort of the residence, work, meals, activities and the people, everything was absolutely the best. Also, Absolute Internship makes your trip an interesting one. I will definitely come back.

My internship experience at Madrid through Absolute has taught me a lot valuable things. It not only taught me how to better relate and adapt to a new culture, new working and living environment, and a new language but also gave me the confidence that I can live and work anywhere just fine. In sum, it helped me overcome my fear of men and helped me understand that good work ethic is important and necessary wherever I go and that it will go a long way wherever I work.

I've genuinely loved my Absolute experience in Madrid and am considering the possibility of doing the program again next year at a different location. Living abroad has been the best experience of my life so far and it's something I never thought I'd be able to do so I am grateful that Absolute turned out to be a legitimate way for me to have this experience.

My internship and my company were amazing, I learned a lot about the architecture field, and they asked me back next summer. So overall it was an amazing experience and beneficial for my professional future.

The internship I had was great, the people I met were amazing, and I did a lot of traveling to maximize my experience. The best thing to do while abroad is to travel as much as possible and meet new people.

Living in Madrid has been wonderful. My experience at Fundación Canis Majoris has lead to a full-time job offer starting January and admittance into a Masters program in Madrid starting next September!

I absolutely loved this experience. I truly feel like I have grown so much as a person. Interning here helped me develop technical skills, but living here may have been even more valuable. This is the first time I have traveled alone. I loved being independent and living with the other interns. I interned for a travel agency called The Fun Plan. The work was very structured and I knew what was expected of me every day. I really enjoyed the work I was doing and it definitely benefited my professional career.

This internship in Madrid was one of the best and if not the most fulfilling experience I have ever partaken in. My program coordinator, aided in the great experience I had, due to her being extremely friendly and helpful. The interview process and application was very straightforward and pretty flexible in terms of scheduling everything. I interned for an excellent company called Moebius Consulting. The overall atmosphere was very inviting and everyone that I worked with made me feel like I was apart of the team. Perhaps the part that set this internship location above all the others, were the fellow interns that I got to meet while I was staying there. Our group was the smallest and that made it easier to get to know everyone and create lasting friendships that have continued to flourish after the internship concluded. My name is Rachel and I’m a sophomore at the University of Georgia. I was so grateful to have done my first internship in Madrid. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is seriously considering working internationally in the future. My Absolute coordinator in Madrid was extremely helpful and honestly made my experience so much more pleasant and fun. I also really enjoyed the included activities, like the weekend in Barcelona, the tapas cooking class and the visit to the Santiago Bernabeu soccer stadium. I had planned to do something fun but something that could help my career at the same time over the summer and came across Absolute Internship. I looked at a few other options but ultimately I ended up going with Absolute as I was impressed by their communication. It was great a decision that I don’t regret. The experience and my summer in Madrid was so different to life back home in the U.K. We had regular meals, trips and cultural events organized for us which helped us explore the very best of the city. Absolute Internship provided me with a great internship experience in a foreign country. I had only been to Israel before coming to Spain. Absolute Internship made my time abroad feel at ease. The housing where we lived was better than I had expected and the activities organized allowed me to make friends very quickly with the other students, which made Madrid feel like home in just a few days. The internship I had in Madrid allowed me to get exposure to a completely different culture both work-wise and on a personal note. I was able to forge some great connections while at work and met a group of people that changed my life.

I had a fantastic time in Madrid. If you're looking for a bustling, cultural, friendly city then Madrid is what you should be checking out. Absolute is there to support you all the time and the locals in Madrid are extremely friendly and kind to foreigners. You’d be adapting to the city life in Madrid in no time! The Absolute staff is kind, resourceful and know everything about the city so you don’t have to worry about a thing while living in Madrid. They put you in a very high quality accommodation with other students from the program. There are events planned and organized every week that you can attend (all included in the price) and living in Madrid makes it so easy to travel around Spain. I took the train and visited the south of the country, Granada, which was beautiful. With the program, you’ll meet great people and I really recommend going to Madrid and do an internship. It’s worth it.

My internship in Madrid taught me so much more about myself than I ever imagined, both personally and professionally. I learned to become more bold, more independent and realized that I can do much more than I thought I could. I did the Absolute program when I was a junior. I wished I would have done the program earlier. I had one of my best summer’s ever. Stepping out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to do something I never thought of doing was the best thing that happened to me. I grew. I have always dreamed of going to Europe one day. I had been there before with the Absolute Internship Program with my family, but to actually experience the everyday culture and life in Europe. I ended up choosing Spain and Madrid. Absolute was for me more than just an internship. They’re all about helping you explore life, culture and the world. Like a travel expert, but obviously more than that. Such great people behind the program that supports you and genuinely cares about you. Thumbs up! I came to Madrid as an intern for two months and these two months abroad were the best couple of months in my entire life. I know..I know I’m only 20 but the summer in Europe wouldn’t have been possible without Absolute. They got me an incredible internship experience, great accommodation, fun events and resourceful staff. I’d definitely recommend them.

All in all my summer with Absolute in Madrid was great! From application to the day I was accepted to program, everything was very easy and straight forward. The Absolute team did a great job in being very detail-oriented and explained to me the process and what was going to happen until the program started and what would happen during the program. A lot of information, but they made it very easy for me which is why I really recommend them. I was recommended to take up a marketing internship as part of my program. I majored in marketing so it was the best fit for me. The program was a great investment for me. They did honestly everything possible to ensure we were comfortable and welcomed in the city. Always there to coach us during the summer whenever we needed as well for our internship. I had an awesome summer with absolute and would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Spain and Madrid specifically was an amazing city and a great place to call “home” although it was only for the summer. There was always something to do in Madrid. People were quite relaxed, although it’s a quite busy city. Exciting culture, kind people, world class weather and of course a great range of internships with Absolute. I didn’t struggle at all in Madrid and Absolute helped me settle in very quickly. Arriving and having your group of new friends from Absolute is very helpful. We bonded quickly and all the students that are part of Absolute are from all parts of the world. Food is incredible in Madrid and I particularly enjoyed living in Madrid because I’m a big fan of the soccer team Real Madrid.

I had the time of my life at my internship. I've learnt so many things in doing business at my placement in Spain. I was very lucky to have an understanding boss who really embraced my arrival and introduced me to their positive team. I worked for an international head hunting company. Doing an internship abroad is a life experience and it’s really a great one. Overall, the program was really well run and organized. In terms of location, Madrid is a very special city and a fantastic place to be in for a young professional. You always have something to do after work and in the weekend. Absolute organizes a lot of trips and events as well. Interning in Spain for me was a very well worth investment.

My time in Spain was incredible. Very good program and Absolute was very well organized. We had lots of extra events and trips that were planned and included too. The internship was great too, I learned a lot and especially how to work with Spanish and Europeans. As I intend to work abroad in the future, it will definitely be helpful. I felt part of a real team as the company had about 60 employees with staff not only from Spain but also from Portugal, France and the U.K. Madrid was very safe and Absolute was always there for us. They will work with you to fix any issues that may arise.. They will help organize great trips that you wanna have (we organized a weekend trip to south of Spain). I made friends and connections with other interns from Absolute from Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Austria… such an amazing group of people. I’m beyond grateful for the support and work of Absolute. Always quick to answer my emails, texts and any issue that arose. They were experts of the Spanish culture, the city of Madrid and how we could adapt the most as foreigners. I stayed four weeks with Absolute, but wished I would have stayed for longer. Absolute Internship was a great choice for my internship in Spain.

Absolute Internship was such an amazing experience that blew my mind. I never thought I would meet so many cool people from all around the world – exploring and just living in Madrid for the summer. I made friends from Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, England and so many other places. Accommodation was really comfortable (comfortable beds!!), great Internet and I loved living with the other students. The city is fantastic. Although I didn’t speak fluent Spanish, I kept being open minded and it helped to be in Spain with a group. I really appreciated the on-site support from Absolute and the staff. They were great! This program has made me realize how much I love to travel so I really recommend it!

I had a fantastic time in Spain with Absolute Internship! I found Absolute Internship through my University’s Careers Center website and thought it could be a great way to spend my summer instead of taking up a regular casual job back home. It ended up being the best month ever. I did the 4 weeks program and regretted so much that I didn’t enroll for the 8 weeks program… I was so sad to say goodbye to the other interns. Absolute put together an awesome schedule with so many fun cultural events but also social ones so you get to explore the city and the country (some trips outside of the city). If you are looking for a sign to go abroad, this is the sign! :) Just go for it. I spent last summer in Madrid which was the best experience I could have asked for. It has always been a dream of mine to travel and live in Spain. I thought of studying abroad first, but ended up interning instead as I felt it would give me more "real world" skills rather than just studying. Coming to Spain as a young woman can be a bit scary! But Absolute did a fantastic job in setting us up with (fantastic) housing, a great internship and a group of tight-knitted friends. We were a group of around 30 selected students for the Absolute program and there students from all across the U.S, Europe and even Lebanon! We all lived together and explored this beautiful country. What made Absolute so amazing is the community they built around us students which ultimately made my experience so much better than I expected. The housing was very clean, close to the metro and to a local grocery store. My internship was in a branding agency (advertisement) which I was hoping to get, so my internship was great. All I could hope for! It was sad to say goodbye the Absolute staff and the other students. I really loved my time in Spain. Made friends for life and gained some awesome work experience that I know employers here back in the U.S will be impressed by!
