Why did you choose Suraasa?

Although I had 12 years of teaching experience, the only thing that was missing was a certificate from a recognized, accredited body which was provided only by Suraasa. After researching for months and finding out the authenticity, I planned to join Suraasa because it is KHDA recognized.

What was your favorite part about the program?

My favorite part was doing the assignments. The assignments kept me challenged and polished off my skills. Additionally, I enjoyed the experience of teaching using various modern tools and technologies.

What makes your program unique?

Its recognition from the ATHE UK and the KHDA. The period to study is only 10 months whereas it would be 2 years or more in a university. This makes life more easy and convenient at less cost, but still with complete recognition and accreditation.

How did program staff support you throughout the program?

They have always been very helpful, especially during the sign up process and during the course time. Any doubts were always corrected. They have always been on standby as friends and work great behind the scenes. Any technical errors or questions are always resolved on time.

What is one thing you wish you had done differently?

I would not do anything differently because PgCTL provided all that I needed as a teacher.

Describe a typical day in the life of your program

Usually, I would start out creating my lesson plans the day before. Then the next day I would use that lesson plan to teach at school. This gave me a lot of practical experience. Afterwards, I would enjoy the feedback from my students and fellow teachers who observed me.

What did you enjoy most about the program?

The assignments challenged me to continuously improve. Also, the returned assignments would provide me valuable feedback for lifelong skill development. Through these assignments, I had the opportunity to refine my teaching skills and explore the use of modern tools and technologies. This made the teaching experience even more enjoyable and fulfilling.

What is one thing every participant should know before participating in your program?

I suggest they should make sure their teaching goals are clear. This is especially in terms of what country or place you want to teach. Also, they should be aware of the different schools they could be selected to teach. Another important detail is to be mindful of the salary scale.

Now that you've finished up your online program, how has it impacted your life (i.e. career, education, etc.)?

Well it's been a great journey from the start of learning PgCTl, promotions, more classes to teach, and many more. I am looking forward to applying as a full time teacher at the same school I currently work at, as soon as a vacancy opens up. I would be pleased to help Suraasa in any of their outreach tasks to inform people how to be helpful to other teachers.

Would you recommend Suraasa to others? Why?

Yes, I would definitely recommend Suraasa to others. It is the only legitimate organization that offered both UK and UAE qualified teacher certificates. This program took a short period of time and was a great value for money.
