Why did you decide to study abroad?
I decided to study abroad to experience the world and enhance my photography.
Why did you choose your program?
I used the program at my school: (SCAD) Savannah College of Art and Design Lacoste Program. It is an 8 week program offered in the South of France for undergrad and graduate students. I chose this program because I felt France would be a wonderful place to study, experience, and capture behind the lens of my camera as I am pursuing my Master’s of Fine Art degree in photography.
What makes the program you participated in so interesting?
Waking up experiencing another country made my program interesting. Our dorms were in a small cobblestone village called Lacoste amongst retired artists and talented locals. It was amazing! We also traveled to Paris for five days and visited numerous museums and exhibits.
What is the best thing about your program that future participants need to know? SCAD
Lacoste is a program that allows growth and encourages creativity at a home away from home.
What's one thing you would have done differently?
There is nothing I would have done differently.
Now that you're home, how has study abroad impacted your life?
I am more open to communicate with individuals, it has awakened my senses to be creative and go outside of my boundaries, and now I want to travel more!
