What inspired you to work for your China Interntrip?
China Interntrip started with internships as a way for young people to explore China, learn more about the Chinese business market, and Chinese culture. I believe young people should go out and see the real world with their own eyes, this will help them learn from what they experienced, and consequently they will understand what they want to pursue for their future.

Work
Describe a typical day at work.
Normally I start my day with logging into my email, Facebook, and other social media platforms to check if anyone has left a message. I will then check our documents and some other business related documents to make sure everything is accurate and workable. The exciting part is communicating with our interns and potential interns. I get to know their demands and what is going on with their lives, if they need help, and then I arrange accordingly. Apart from that, I have meetings and trainings throughout the day.
Why do you do what you do?
I am really happy with what I do. I get to help people know more about themselves, step out of their comfort zone, and explore life in different cities. They are able to feel the true life in China instead of obtaining information from the media.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I get the chance to get in touch with all kinds of people who have different stories. It's great to know that you will be able to help them learn more about the world, Chinese culture, and what kind of future they want to step into.
How do you use your education and international background in your current role?
I studied my bachelors and masters degrees in the UK. That is where I learned that our world is like a big family that contains all kinds of people. You have to have an open mind and big heart to embrace people.
What challenges do you often face and how do you overcome them?
There will always be different and difficult demands from our applicants, occasionally some of them will seem okay with everything, however, deep down they don’t agree with something, but refuse to speak out. Because of that, it is difficult to solve the problem.

Team building
What are some current projects you are working on?
I am working on the promotion of a range of product lines and reaching out to different organizations and companies to look for proper partners.
What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?
The advice I have is to have confidence and believe in yourself. With our support and assistance, you will be able to adapt to your life in China very quickly and I think you’ll love it.

Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?
It is easier to learn when you can make a connection with your own experience. Traveling abroad can be very helpful with that. Also, it is a good opportunity to learn a new language. It is an opportunity for you to see and learn more about the world and what it can offer. It helps you focus on what really matters in your life.

What advice do you have for individuals thinking about going abroad?
My advice is to take it as a part of finding yourself. This is not only an opportunity to develop skills you might not know you had, but also a chance to explore adventure during your time abroad. Meanwhile, you will get to learn a new language. This will help you understand more about the local culture while creating meaningful friendships.
What does meaningful travel mean to you?
It means establishing meaningful relationships, learning new things, and making remarkable memories. It means discovering the good parts of myself and the people I meet. It helps me think, grow, and be a better version of myself.
What hopes do you have for the future of international education?
I hope people will have an open mind, be willing to learn and understand a different culture, background, and model of thinking. I hope for the future that there will be no racism and regional discrimination.
