Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Erin graduated from Bard College with a B.A in Human Rights and Literature. Her love of travel has led her all over the world, including studying in Berlin and teaching in Thailand. Aside from travel writing Erin is also passionate about free expression advocacy, having written for both PEN America and the Brooklyn Rail. She is now working in Albany, NY.
