Santiago is the second largest city in the Dominican Republic and the economic center of the fertile Cibao Valley. The city has a laid-back atmosphere and serves as an epicenter for baseball, commerce, arts and culture. The area surrounding Santiago is brimming with natural attractions including the Septentrional Mountains, rivers, beaches, and jungles, providing residents and visitors with endless opportunities to hike, bike, swim and surf.

Placements available: Children’s Dining Hall & Learning Center, Conservation Institute, Home Construction Non-Profit, Medical Clinics, Pharmacy, PR Department of At-Risk Youth Organization, School for the Blind, Technical School.
The new ELAP/ISA office is no more than a 5-10 minute walk from any building on the PUCMM Campus, cafés and student hangouts, photocopy shops, and public transportation. The office is housed in a former residence where participants are encouraged to use the office to check e-mail, obtain travel advice and information on cultural activities, or just to relax and practice speaking Spanish with the staff.
