The Cultural Arts Centre Zanzibar (CACZ) empowers local artists, especially women and those from rural areas. It provides training and a platform to sell their produced, environmentally sustainable products, generating crucial income and promoting responsible practices. CACZ also wholesales these unique, responsibly sourced souvenirs to hotels.

As an intern, you'll play a vital role. Your contributions can include identifying innovative uses for sustainable materials, conducting market research, designing products and packaging, optimizing retail space, and creating promotional materials. You can also help local artists improve their English and internet skills, document their stories, and strengthen community partnerships. Additionally, you could organize workshops for locals and tourists, covering crafts like bookbinding and jewelry making, generating income for the center, and providing educational opportunities.
