Due to Nicaragua's social conditions, many children and youth lack equal opportunities and are not supported in their healthy development. Lack of education is one of the main obstacles preventing people from improving their living conditions and escaping poverty. In León, Nicaragua, we offer voluntary services to help disadvantaged children and youth at two daycare centers. The main goal is to provide access to education and support in a safe environment. Possible activities for volunteers include: * Supporting teachers in pre-primary education (writing, reading, simple Math) * Playing with the children * Teaching English * Homework tutoring * Development and implementation of creative and interactive learning games * Leading leisure activities such as dance, music, painting, circus games, sports * Assisting with or implementing activities related to environmental conservation, nature, and geography Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or education is an advantage, but not mandatory. This program also welcomes interns.
