2 Places, 2 Projects: Surfing, Children & Community Support

The Bucaramanga & Cartagena Children, Surfing and Community Combo Program combines volunteering, Spanish learning, cultural exchange, and adventure across two diverse regions of Colombia. In Bucaramanga, volunteers support children in vulnerable communities through English practice, homework help, creative workshops, and sports. Participants can also take Spanish classes and join excursions such as hiking, coffee tours, and other nature experiences in Santander. Community activities offer further cultural exchange and interaction with local residents. The program continues in Cartagena on the Caribbean coast, where participants take beginner-friendly surf lessons focused on ocean safety, confidence, and teamwork, alongside additional community-based activities. This program is ideal for participants who want to combine meaningful volunteering with language learning and active travel. No prior experience is required, but flexibility, openness, and motivation are essential. Participants experience both the Andes and the Caribbean while contributing to local communities and enjoying a diverse cultural and adventure-based journey.
