Where is Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary located?
Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Tsavo ecosystem in southeastern Kenya, near Voi town. It forms part of the greater Tsavo conservation landscape.
What does the program fee include?
The program fee includes:
- Pickup from Nairobi
- SGR train transfer (Nairobi–Voi–Nairobi
- Road transfers between Voi and Lumo
- Shared accommodation
- Three meals per day
- Daily conservation field activities
- Local supervision and coordination
- Project support and orientation
What kind of activities will I participate in?
Activities may include:
- Wildlife monitoring and tracking
- Data collection and reporting

Activities depend on operational priorities and wildlife movement during your stay.
Do I need prior conservation experience?
No prior experience is required. However, participants should:

What is the accommodation like?
Accommodation is shared and comfortable, located within or near the conservancy. Basic amenities are provided. Electricity and connectivity may be limited due to the remote setting.
