Are you curious, not afraid of challenges, and want to contribute to research from the first year of your studies? Bioinformatics is not only about using computer science to analyse biological processes but is also widely used in other fields, such as artificial intelligence and big data analysis. It is the basis of biotechnology, used to develop drugs and vaccines and model genetic treatments. Motivated students have the opportunity to pursue a research career both in Lithuania and abroad.

The graduates will be able to work in enterprises, research laboratories, and centres, where analysis of the data of biological origin is required, and will be able to use, modify, and create bioinformatics software. Having the basic knowledge and skills in Computer Science, they will also be able to work in different IT enterprises and organisations, developing complex software products.
