This program prepares students to become practitioners by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills that enable them to improve health and prevent, treat, and manage diseases through proper nutrition.

The BSc HND degree has an integrated supervised practice (dietetic internship) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, which promotes the clinical acumen of dietetics and research in nutrition. The program also aligns with the standards established by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP).

Upon completion, graduates are eligible for registration as a Dietitian by the Barbados Paramedical Council or an equivalent council regionally.
