UPEI’s Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Design Engineering program emphasizes engineering design as a core discipline, training students to be problem solvers who create innovative and sustainable solutions. The program ensures that solutions consider all factors and stakeholders, including impacts on people, the environment, and society. 

Students receive a solid technical foundation and essential professional skills through a unique design clinic model integrated throughout the program. This hands-on, experiential learning approach involves real projects with external partners, enhancing students' abilities in engineering design, communication, analysis, project management, and ethics. 

Graduates are equipped to work in diverse industries such as bio and food processing, robotics, industrial automation, aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, sustainable energy, and marine applications. They may also pursue research and development, graduate studies, medical school, or entrepreneurship.
