The Women Empowerment Volunteer Program puts skilled, compassionate volunteers at the center of real, measurable change. Based in Nairobi, this program focuses on equipping young mothers and women with literacy, vocational skills, financial tools, and the confidence to build better lives. Volunteers teach English, business planning, digital literacy, and health awareness—while also supporting access to microfinance and income-generating initiatives that create long-term economic independence.

This is grassroots development work with a clear purpose. Whether you stay for one week or several months, your contribution directly strengthens a community that has been systematically excluded from financial systems. No formal qualifications are required — just a basic level of English, a minimum age of 14, and a genuine commitment to gender equality and community development. 

Volunteers work Monday through Friday and are fully supported with accommodation, meals, and on-site coordination. Weekends are free to travel Kenya's iconic landscapes and wildlife reserves at one's own pace.
