Inside Kibera—Africa's largest slum—thousands of children go to school hungry, sit in crumbling classrooms, and learn without enough books or teachers. 

This teaching and education volunteer program connects skilled, caring volunteers with 13 schools and empowerment centers across Nairobi's most underserved communities, including Kibera, Mathare, and Samburu. Volunteers support learners from kindergarten through high school, teaching subjects like English, math, science, computer skills, arts, and financial literacy. Specialist skills are equally valued—beauty therapy, sewing, music, yoga, photography, and sports all have a place within this program.

Volunteers select their placements based on their strengths and interests, ensuring that each contribution is personal and meaningful. No formal teaching degree is required; a basic level of English and a minimum age of 14 are the only entry requirements. Participation is open to individuals of all nationalities.

Full support is provided, including accommodation, meals, airport pickup, and on-site coordination. Weekends are free for safaris, city tours, and cultural activities across Nairobi and beyond.
