Volunteer Journey in South Africa, Transform Lives

I am currently privileged to be at Tshega for six months and am enjoying this time to the fullest. The people there are a true example to me in terms of joy and contentment. Through the outreach program, I gain profound insights into the local life and culture. It is incredibly beautiful to bring a smile to the children's faces, to give love, and to spend time with them. The entire TCM team is a great role model for me in terms of their loving and appreciative interactions with one another, and I am experiencing a special spiritual enrichment in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to these experiences, I have the opportunity to explore the country with its beautiful nature and unique wildlife through various excursions. I came to serve, and I will definitely leave feeling enriched.

My time at Tshega was an absolute enrichment for me. I was able to gain a wonderful insight into the culture and life in the Tzaneen region. Seeing how people with very little money and standards always radiate positivity, hope and faith in Jesus Christ made a deep impression on me. The various tasks and the entire team at Tshega were also great. I wouldn't want to miss this time!

To do this volonteering at Tshega was an amazing and formative experience for me. I could increase my horizon, I've learnt a lot about an other culture, living another kind of way and I saw how we as volonteers can make an impact and touch the children's heart. We could spread the gospel through bible stories, we read together with the children, we sang many songs, we had a lot of fun with the kids and we could give them love. These children and the people there need love and we have the capacity and time to give it. But it's not just giving, it's coming back a hundredfold. The experiences, the poverty in the village and the people there have changed my life and kind of thinking.
