TFT: Scandinavian Adventure

The TFT trip to Scandinvia is definitely one to remember. I made so many memories with all of the new people I have met, some of which I still keep in touch with today. Looking back at the trip, all the activities were perfectly planned and designed for High schoolers to have fun. Most of the hotels the group we stayed at were also amazing and were selected great. Overall the trip was so much fun and would highly recommend.

I traveled with TFT for the first time last summer. It was my first time traveling internationally, so as you can imagine I was a little (or a lot) nervous, but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than my Scandinavian Adventure. The amazing and knowledgeable counselors kept the group safe without ever needing to impose strict rules. They also gave us lots of independence, which made everyone a more confident traveler. All the campers quickly bonded and we made friendships that will last a lifetime. Some of the trip highlights include white water rafting and hiking up a glacier near Voss, seeing an old fortress in Bergen, and exploring the beautiful cities of Bergen, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki. I highly recommend doing a TFT trip if you are at all considering it. They truly are life-changing experiences.

I got to go on the Scandinavian Adventure trip with Travel for Teens this summer. It was my 5th trip with TFT and I enjoyed the entire trip so much! We did lots of adventurous activities such as white-water rafting, zip-lining, glacier hiking, going to amusement parks, going on a ghost tour and riding in a jet boat. Each county we got to visit was beautiful, especially Norway, which was absolutely breathtaking. The food on the trip was absolutely delicious, I even got to try whale, moose, and reindeer! I made some of the best memories in Scandinavia thanks to TFT!

This trip was perfect for my first time in Scandinavia! On this trip, we were able to do many things normal tourists wouldn't get to do that really helped immerse us in true Scandinavian culture. We got to climb glacier, visit old fortresses, and browse historic markets. I'll never forget riding with Flam Railway across the Norwegian countryside and the haunting mountain sirens that danced in the waterfall along the way. Everything we got to see and experience made the trip wonderful, even if a bit daunting at first. I mean, who would have thought Brunost (sweet cheese) was so good? The counselors were kind and always encouraged us to try new things (including amazing foods) and I always felt ready to leave my comfort zone. Thanks for an amazing journey!
