The best trip I’ve ever been on!

This trip was breathtaking, it not only helped me to create lifelong friends, but helped me to create memories I’ll cherish my whole life. Going into this trip I was quite nervous to be traveling alone. Luckily, the staff and my fellow travelers helped more than I can put into words

I went on the “Europe for Older Teens: Iceland Adventure”. This was my second trip with TFT and I am so glad that I picked this one. Iceland has always been on my bucket list (of course the blue lagoon more specifically). But I never thought I could get so much out of a trip. I was able to learn so much about Iceland that I never knew about and I don’t think I ever would have known. What I liked so much about this trip is that I didn’t feel like just a tourist going around and looking at cool places and exhibits but I was able to actually experience it. I was able to experience the main town of Reykjavik but also the small little towns that I think get forgotten about a lot of the time, most times these are the cutest. This was the summer before I left for college and while I have been on a TFT trip before I still get very nervous with new people, but just like before I was worrying about nothing. I had four amazing counselors that always made sure we had everything we needed and were always there for me to talk, they never made me feel like I didn’t matter and it made me trust them so much more and made me see them not only as people to tell me rules but as my friends and people I could count on. Of course the teens were amazing and again I had nothing to worry about, I made amazing friends most I still keep in contact with today and this made the trip so much more fun because not only was I experiencing amazing sites but I was doing it with amazing people beside me. I absolutely loved this trip and cannot recommend it enough. You are able to see so many different parts of Iceland and also be able to learn lessons and have experiences that you will never forget (I certainly didn’t).

Iceland was beautiful and the people were lovely

My time in Iceland with Travel for Teens was the highlight of my summer. The counselors were great from start to end. They were approachable and passionate about travelling and were determined to make our trip a blast. Our groups' driver was so kind and went out of his way to teach us about Icelandic culture as we traveled around the beautiful ring road. Along the road, we saw so many beautiful landscapes and experienced one in a lifetime opportunities like snorkeling between two tectonic plates and climbing the Vatnajökull glacier. All of the accommodations were very pleasant even in the more remote areas in northern Iceland. All the students on the trip were kind and made the trip the so enjoyable. I made lifelong friends with the students who I still keep in touch with today.
