Live out the last days of summer in the Golden State and Grand Canyon! We’ll begin our journey in the star-studded city of Los Angeles. Stroll the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and admire the city lights at sunset from Griffith Observatory. Hang out in Venice Beach and ride the ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier. In San Diego, hang ten as you learn to surf at one of the city’s most famous beaches and kayak through secret caves in La Jolla while looking out for sea lions. On our way to the Grand Canyon State of Arizona, we’ll make a pitstop in Nevada in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. Ride the High Roller ferris wheel and enjoy a delicious feast at an interactive dinner show! There’s no downtown in America quite like the Las Vegas Strip! The flashing lights and fountains complement the high energy of Vegas. No better way to end this road trip through some of the most famous places in America than at one of the seven natural wonders of the world: the Grand Canyon. See it for yourself and try to envision how the Colorado River created such a masterpiece over hundreds of thousands of years. Using Flagstaff as our home base, we’ll also travel to Page, Arizona to see hidden gems!

TFT offers an amazing program for kids to get away for a little while over the summer! The counselors and kids were super welcoming to me! I highly recommend Travel for Teens for anyone looking into a teen tour!

I did both the Pacific Northwest and California/Grand Canyon trips and I loved them! The itinerary presented so many activities in so many places, most of which concentrated in city life, but some hiking and nature activities were mixed in. One of my favorite things about how Travel for Teens operates their trips is that there is built in free time, where you can do whatever you want to do for that few hour period. My group went to watch a red carpet premiere in Santa Monica for one of these times. The staff are also incredible! 10/10 would recommend Travel for Teens!

Best summer ever!

On this trip I met so many amazing people and I tried new foods and tried new things that I normally wouldn’t do and pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I don’t regret it at all I had an amazing experience this summer seeing the Grand Canyon and going to California and I recommend so many other people do so.

I found beauty in my own backyard!

Getting to explore southern California has always been a dream of mine, and it came true with Travel for Teens! Going on a bike tour in Santa Monica was a great way to explore the area and learn about the community, and staying in dorm rooms at USC brought us closer together and showed us a little bit about the college experience. In San Diego, going sea kayaking through caves and watching the sea lions dive on and off the rocks reconnected us with the natural beauty of the United States. We then headed off to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon! This was my favorite part of the trip. The Grand Canyon was overwhelming and had us all in awe, as did Antelope Canyon. Wandering through the red rock carved by flash flooding was a once-in-a-lifetime experience I will never forget. Our counselors made me feel so welcome and did a great job planning activities for us. I love Travel for Teens!
