Caribbean Care: Nursing & Public Health in Dominica is a hands-on global health program designed for nursing students seeking real-world experience in a vibrant Caribbean setting. In partnership with the Government of Dominica, students will gain exposure to both inpatient and outpatient care while working alongside local professionals at the country’s largest hospital and community-based home health settings. 

This immersive program includes clinical observation, hands-on nursing, public health outreach, and interactive workshops on topics like tropical medicine and disaster preparedness. Students will also engage in cultural activities and explore Dominica’s natural beauty—from volcanic hot springs to lush rainforests. With support from Therapy Abroad’s experienced staff, students will develop critical skills, cultural competence, and a broader understanding of nursing and public health in a global context.
