Learn about these indigenous practices from Thai instructors and work alongside community members to better understand the country's healthcare systems. Thailand has a rich history with traditional medicinal practices and philosophical approaches to health care. As the country surges into the 21st Century, these conventional approaches are beginning to blend with more modern medicinal practices of the Western world. Program Highlights
Cultivate awareness and appreciation for critical global issues through classroom experience and engagement with local communities.
Gain cross-cultural competencies through extended engagement at a local grassroots organization.
Enroll in 16 credits per semester (including 4 required courses), followed by a 6-week internship or research project.
Live in an apartment or rented room in an area close to your placement, and receive a weekly meal stipend.
Study at the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute—staffed by American, Thai, Karen, and Hmong instructors and support personnel who use a unique, team-based approach to teaching.
