The short summer study in the Graduate Institute of International Studies (HEI) was the 'once in a life time experience' for me. As the hub of international governance, Geneva was a unique location to study globalization, governance and technology, as the programme was titled. This programme enabled me to develop the precious relationship with the extraordinary people, who had different backgrounds from all over the world, in and outside of the classroom. Along with the regular curriculum, the programme provided many events with different the guest speakers. Participating in the events was the priceless opportunity to learn the insightful views on current international affairs from the working professionals from the different international organizations. Geneva itself was a pleasant city to be around. It provided me not only the beautiful nature to enjoy but also a lot to think about, such as the role of myself as a world citizen. After the summer program in Geneva, with the unforgettable experience at HEI, I had an opportunity to discover the new part of myself. I will miss Geneva and HEI a lot.

As I looked over my notes at the end of the three weeks, I was struck by the degree to which certain key themes were integrated throughout the three distinctly different courses. There was a cohesiveness and an organization to this programme that belied the fact that it was in its first year. Although the summer programme is young, HEI brings to it many successful years in IR education. From my initial contact with HEI through my final paper, I was so impressed by the rapidity and thoroughness with which my questions and concerns were addressed. This responsiveness is further evidence of an organized, dedicated, and highly competent staff.

It has been a great pleasure for me, to be part of the 2007 summer program. I learnt so much: I have improved and updated my knowledge on Global and regional integration, Human security and conflict resolution, and health and environment. I am so grateful for your time and your hard work!
