International Study in Architecture (Summer Course)
Program Overview
The Florence Institute offers architecture courses that teach drawing and observational skills and provide a general overview of Italian architectural theory and history. These introduce basic architectural principles and explore elementary building concepts, form, surface, and space. They also offer a basic understanding of the urban context and how city elements relate.
Most courses are conducted "on-site," where students learn directly from architectural works through observational analysis and develop basic sketching and drafting skills in various media.
This summer study program is excellent for students of all levels highly interested in Italian art, interior design, and architecture. People with a general interest in architecture and design but no immediate plans to pursue a degree are also encouraged to enroll.
