Three Weeks That Changed Me
December 25, 2025by: Oyinade Akinrinade - United StatesProgram: The Experiment: Spain: Spanish Language & CultureLast summer, I spent three weeks in Spain, and it honestly changed the way I see things. Being in a totally new place pushed me out of my comfort zone in a good way. I had to figure things out on my own, try new foods, get used to the language, and adjust to a completely different lifestyle. What I loved most was how social and laid-back everything felt. The people there really take time to enjoy life, food, and each other. I met so many kind people and learned a lot just by being present and open. That experience helped me grow more confident, independent, and open-minded. It wasn’t just a trip for me. It was a moment that helped shape who I am now. Hopefully I can go back!
Once in a lifetime opportunity!
December 23, 2025by: Cassidy Luketic - United StatesProgram: The Experiment: France: Cultural DiscoveryI had a great time in France. I felt very safe, and The Experiment took so many precautions that I barely worried. The people were amazing, and all the setup for the trip was so helpful. I truly recommend this program to people who want to travel!
Time to expand your mindset
September 01, 2025by: Dabney Rocano - United StatesThe study abroad trip was an extraordinary experience to learn about culture and immerse myself in the community I spent time with. The activities throughout the day and the scheduled day make it fun, with the sights, places, and foods to get to see and taste. Truly bonded with the family I spent time with, who made it so special. It's an unforgettable experience that I 00% recommend to those interested in traveling, learning more communicative skills, and are ready to get a little uncomfortable!

I love to travel and experience other cultures. I have traveled to the Philippines to see my family and experience Filipino culture. I used to live in Taiwan, so why not go to another Asian country with different beliefs and cultures.

I got inspired to go abroad because I wanted to expand my worldview and I am deeply interested in seeing the politics/international relations of a country other than my own (the United States). I knew I always wanted to learn about another country, but I wanted to actually visit there to authentically learn about the country, rather than have American media teach me. I also got inspired because I want to prove to my community that studying abroad is an option, and that if you work hard then doors will open.

I love travelling and learning about new cultures. Prior to my abroad experience with the Experiment, I traveled to a handful of countrie, and my mother always challenged me and my brother to explore cities beyond the hotels and tourism. She always said the best way to learn about a people's way of life is through their eyes. She always forced us to step out of our comfort zone, and that expanded my interest in what else is out there. I wanted to enrich myself with more knowledge and experience new cultures first hand.
