We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of the English Department for Secondary School with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of IB programmes. The ideal candidate will lead curriculum development, support high-quality teaching, and foster a collaborative culture aligned with the IB philosophy and the school’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities: - Leading and mentoring English teachers. - verseeing curriculum planning, implementation, and assessment for IB MYP and/or DP. - Ensuring effective, inquiry-based and differentiated teaching practices. - Monitoring student progress using data to inform improvement. - Promoting a positive, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment. - Close collaboration with academic leadership on curriculum articulation, accreditation, and school-wide initiatives. - Maintain clear communication with students, families, and colleagues. - Ensure safeguarding compliance. - Actively participating in professional development and institutional activities.

Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.

Requirements: - Demonstrated experience working in IB schools (MYP and/or DP required). - Previous experience in a leadership or coordinator role within an academic department.

Requirements: - Native or near-native level of English. - Willingness to relocate and work as an expatriate.
