This was a terrific course. Comprehensive demanding and engaging. The foundations of learning and acknowledgment of so many learning styles and leaving lots of room for creativity in lesson planning and engaging with students while a lot of work was worth it! It's fantastic to have a thorough portfolio on pond completion and a notebook full of rich information I can refer to.

This is a great course. I learned so much, and I feel prepared to teach. This course was comprehensive and covered a variety of topics I had never considered. If I could change one thing, I would ask that you add subtitles to each video and a full transcription of what is said during the lessons. There are some words and acronyms that I wasn't able to make out while I was transcribing these lessons for myself. All in all, great work! This is a fantastic course. 10/10 I would recommend it to others.

I'm excited to travel and learn at the same time while assessing myself on how well i know the english language and most importantly, share it with others. I have always believed that where ever part of the globe we are, so long as we can speak english? It automatically closes the language barrier between countries.

What I love most is that they model what they are teaching. If they are teaching you to create brainstorming/warm-up questions for your students before a lesson, guess what you are doing before each lesson in their course? Warm-up questions! They model lesson structure and cater to each learning style by allowing you to read the lesson and/or listen to the lesson. And for the more kinesthetic learners, there are multiple observations for each module!

I believe that this course is EXCELLENT! This course provides everything a novice or non-teacher would require to learn how to teach. Since I am an experienced educator, the majority of the material was fundamental and familiar to me. However, the "Tenses" lesson served as a welcome refresher.

Classroom observation videos that gives the viewer a look in how classrooms are coordinated. There is even a facebook group and the coaching calls. It was a great refresher course from my prior learning! Teaching English language learners is a lot like teaching sped students, you need a lot of realia, patience, and differentiation skills. I enjoyed reminiscing during module-1 when we were asked, “Think back to your childhood school days. As a young learner, what was your view of teachers?” My response was, “I remember thinking teachers were smart, possibly even smarter than my parents. I also knew there were teachers that I liked better than others and who I knew liked me as a student as well. I really don’t remember too much of my early days as a learner. I remember recess was the coolest and our teacher, an Afro-Panamanian, would always play kickball with us at PE and he even volunteered to teach karate after school. He was one of my absolute faves.” I want to be someone’s favorite teacher one day. After having some experience in the field myself, I now have a greater respect for teachers and applaud their strong necks by the weight of all the hats they wear. I enjoyed this course very much and I am ready to start interviewing for jobs overseas.

The program was well laid out and it was nice to have videos attached to the work. I have a chance to try out the program for free. I learned a lot from the examples and from the reviews. Support was always there when I needed it.

I really enjoyed the online course. It was planned-out thoroughly and laid out in an easy-to-follow way. I loved being able to do it at my pace as I was a single-mom, and full-time teacher. The work load was manageable and the quizzes were a great way to recap the biggest themes within each Unit. I learn so much about language learning in general. I love the resources available in the e-packet; I still use those. TEFL course gave a kickstart to my career. I was already an English Language teacher in India. I shifted to the US, and TEFL gave me a summarized outlook to teaching methodologies here. The course is quite self explanatory by our 2 instructors, and the cherry on the cake is their personalized feedback on your submitted work. That gave me a boost and I understood I was on right track in a new place. Via the TEFLPros certification, I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to teach. With those skills acquired, I was immediately able to start teaching English in a secondary school in Northern Thailand. TEFL Pros was a great choice for me. The written assignments are good for both reinforcing the material taught and being accumulated in a Portfolio suitable for presentation to potential employers. The grammar lessons were good in that they gave enough, but not too much, English "nitty gritty" that can be shared with future students. The many videos are good because they allow the TEFL Pros student to see veteran teachers actually employing the instructional techniques being taught. In my own search for an online TEFL course, I ran across a lot of certification programs that "guarantee a job" or are otherwise very heavy on alumni support, but don't appear to have as much in the way of current student support or actual curriculum. A lot of them were really heavy on the marketing, but once they collect your money, you're left with a series of videos to watch, and at best you can email questions. TEFLpros impressed me right away because I didn't feel like they were so heavy on the marketing and "key words" end of things. Now, at the end of the course, I can easily see why that is. They don't need to fill their site with marketing gimmicks because it's genuinely a good, solid course. You don't just pay the money and watch the videos, you get to have real time video chats twice a week with Whitney, the developer of the course, and experienced TEFL teacher and teacher trainer! She not only answers your questions, but she also probes your way of thinking about the subject matter and challenges you to stretch your mind. In this course you are not just passively absorbing the content, but you are actively engaged, so you really learn what it means to be a teacher! The course is set up so that you can go at your own pace, and you even develop a portfolio along the way which can be presented to potential employers. I felt that the subject matter was very well laid out and well organized. I will not say it was easy! But it is absolutely achievable. There were places where I felt somewhat frustrated at times. However, I think that those experiences actually ended up teaching me the content much better than if it was simply spoon fed. It is better to be fully engaged in the content, discovering answers for yourself with the guidance of a teacher. After all, that's what we want to do for our own students! I can't say enough good things about Whitney. She really is a skilled teacher, and continually impressed me not only with her knowledge of the subject matter, but also her talent for not giving the answer, but guiding us to the answer. It's so obvious that she really loves what she does and is committed not just to helping people become teachers, but to helping people become awesome, self reflecting, and ever improving teachers. Overall, I know there are cheaper courses out there...and more expensive too! But here you are paying for individual attention from the best in the TEFL business. I loved that the course was flexible and could be worked into my schedule when I had time. I didn’t have to commit to a certain day a week for student teaching or class observations. I could do the whole course at home in the evenings when my kids were in bed. When I was searching the Tefl options, my criteria was the quality of the course. Not the cost, not the certificate. This program was very interesting and accessible for any non-native English speakers. A must for everyone who wants to teach abroad! Every lessons were really clear and divided in different modules that makes it easier to organize everything. The fact that it is an online program is very useful. I only took lessons whenever and wherever I wanted. It was a plus for me to be able to learn at my own pace. All assignments submitted and put into the final portfolio will be useful for any future interviews so that was a great experience!

This course is very useful when teaching abroad especially for non-native English speakers. The course has very clear lessons divided in different modules. I appreciated all the classroom observations. The fact that it is an online course makes it easy to take the lessons wherever you want and where you want. You can take the lessons at your own pace so that was a plus for me!

I recently completed the online TEFL Pros course and I loved it! I did A LOT of research into TEFL courses before choosing one and I am so happy I chose this one in the end. The combination of text with audio and templates to take notes made it very easy to follow along and absorb the information. Each lesson was concise yet useful, especially for someone new to this field like me. I really appreciated the focus given on teaching you how to lesson plan for each type of lesson and I now have a portfolio of lesson plans that I created to potentially show to employers and/or use in my own classes. The classroom observations (online of course) gave me the chance to see how the things I learnt in each module play out in real life and how the teachers handled certain situations which was super valuable. It was also very enjoyable watching the students play games and have discussions, I found myself laughing along with them a lot of the times! I haven't yet used any job assistance by the course provider so I cannot really give any feedback on that but I know that both Jos and Whitney are only one email away from answering any questions I have so I really appreciate that! All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of getting a TEFL qualification!!! I hope this helps :)

I signed up for this certificate program in April of 2020 once I realized Covid was here to stay for a while. I had lost the majority of my income from in-person tutoring and wanted/needed a way to use my new down-time effectively. Too much time on my hands actually had the opposite effect of what I was hoping. It gave me too much time to procrastinate! And procrastinate I did! I would work on a Module here and there, or read/study between teaching online classes but never fully devoted the time and attention actually needed to complete these Modules. It even showed through when I didn't pass one of the Modules and I further discouraged myself. Fast forward to November, when looking over my goals for the year, obtaining my TEFL certificate was still on the list! That's when I cranked it into high gear and set my sights on completing what I had signed up and PAID for! The classes are pretty straight-forward with a lot of tips and knowledge on the subject matter of teaching English language learners. Although I know classroom application will be a little different, I am still confident in my abilities to now teach ELL students. I am so glad I settled down and completed this program! I am expecting 2021 to be BIG and GREAT with new TEFL certificate, passport, and confidence!

I have just finished my TEFLPros 120-Hour Course !!! I found the course to be very thorough, comprehensive and well organized. My goal is to Tutor on-line children from 5 years old-14 years old. I am presently researching a few companies and have narrowed it down to two that I am most interested in. I feel with my Course work through the TEFLPros Certification Program that I am well prepared, and organized, to support the students in their learning goals. I've searched for an online TEFL course and came across many websites recommending a list of many different TEFL courses to choose from. At first, I didn't know which one to choose and got confused. But luckily, I found out that TEFLPros offers a free trial for 2 days. I didn't have to think twice and just went for it. I really liked how that free trial was structured and built, so I finished that in no time and decided to go for the real deal and applied for the 120 hours online course! The TEFLPros 120-Hour Accredited TEFL Certification and Job Assistance program seems ideal for people like me who work full time but would like to expand their knowledge and experiences. The approach is very practical and attaches great importance to speaking skills without neglecting writing, reading and listening skills. I also appreciate the value set on fun methods to get into an everyday life topic. It needed some self-discipline to do it all online, but I felt well accompanied at all times. This was a great online program! The information was very clearly presented and easy to follow. I loved how they walk you through lesson planning step by step. The materials and advice provided are quite relevant and informative. The course fulfills all the requirements needed to be a TEFL instructor. However, I felt during deliverance of the course material , providing recorded videos of teachers coming to the forefront of the camera and explaining with their indispensable gesture will make the understanding of the course material more effective. The students in spite of joining an online course will get the feel of real classroom experience.

I chose TEFLPros after looking at about 7-8 online TEFL programs because of the reviews about their support and how useful the course program was. Also, it's self-directed, which I needed. The course itself is very thorough with a great foundation for how to lesson plan for various lessons, how to handle classroom management, an overview of teaching grammar, and specifics related to teaching English in a communicative way. As a newbie to professional teaching, I found this incredibly helpful and has made me epathize with how much work teachers put into their lessons. Also, like other reviews have mentioned, there is a LOT of real classroom observations included and that was so helpful! I only had one major question as I went through, but sent an email and Abby got back to me so fast with a really helpful, thorough response. (And she replied on a Saturday... wasn't expecting that but is worth noting!) I highly recommend this TEFL program. The price for what I got out of it was more than worth it!

I learned a ton and enjoyed the feel of the presentations - like I was sitting with Whitney & Jos, learning from them in person. The format was clear, it was easy to see my progress, assignments were reasonable and useful, and I appreciated the classroom observations which enabled me to see lesson plans in action even though it was a completely online program.

This pandemic has thrown a wrench into a lot of plans especially with restricted travel. I was able to find TEFLPros through Girls Love Travel and I am really glad I did. I have done some informal TEFL tutoring, but I never had any formal training. There is so much more that goes into lesson planning than I thought. TEFLPros laid out a great foundation for me to succeed with example teaching videos for each module. They reviewed grammar and gave sample activities to try out in class. It was a step by step guide and I really appreciated that the instructors were on hand to answer any questions. I recommend TEFLPros for their straightforward approach to learning.

This course was exactly what I was looking for, and far exceeded my expectations. As someone in my mid 30s with plenty of real-world, professional experience under my belt and degrees to boot, I was looking for a TEFL course that would cut to the chase and provide the information and practice I needed without all of the "busywork fluff" that can be so common in certification programs. I also wanted a program that would prepare me to be a self-sufficient instructor (i.e., I didn't want to pay for a notebook of lesson plans). Finally, I needed an online course (I currently work a demanding full-time job) that wouldn't' break the bank. As I said before, this course surpassed all of my HIGH expectations. The program itself is well organized, easy to follow, and provides content in multiple modalities that support all of the learning styles. Customer services is responsive and thorough, though I didn't need to use it much because the course itself is extremely user-friendly. The content provided in the learning modules is useful, informative, and easily implemented. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the information isn't something you could easily Google and learn for free on your own. The course content is well worth the price, effort, and time. I would absolutely recommend the TEFLPros 120-hour course!

When I decided to take a TEFL course, I did a lot of research and found anything from $ 50 to $ 2000. In my opinion, anything over $ 400 is too much for an online course. That was my first criterion. The second was to find a course that was informative and wouldn't bore me to death studying. With Josh and Whithney's course, I made the best choice for myself. Of course, I don't know the other courses, but a big plus are the videos in the classroom and the videos that create the lesson plans. The modules are well structured and Josh and Whitney really know what they are talking about. My work was reviewed within a few days and the comments are very helpful. Answers to questions came very quickly and were knowledgeable and friendly. I am completely satisfied with the course and will always consult him. A TEFL course is just the beginning. It is up to everyone to continue to educate themselves in order to become a good teacher who can inspire others to learn while having fun. I have found youtube to be a great source for classroom management, ESL games, grammar.

The projects in the program really helps you understand what you’re doing, and the coursework is very informative! I really enjoyed my time working on my certificate. They’re also really quick to get back with you should you have any questions!

For me the real in-class recordings that demonstrate course material were very helpful and allowed me to really grasp ideas and concepts much more than I could have done just from a textbook. Very robust instructional support: video demos of actual TESL classrooms, ample printed text, and responsive to questions. The video demos boasted my confidence that I could be an effective ESL teacher. There were several teachers used throughout the video demos--some were excellent; others not so much. I learned both what I would want to do and what I would not do. The two main instructors—Joc and Whit—provided very clear instructions and lot of tips and advice about do's and don't's. Their approach was consistent among themselves. And their enthusiasm came across for their love of the profession. The feedback on my portfolio was specific and constructive. Only regret: I wasn't there in Thailand observing first hand to practice and receive real-time feedback.

I very much enjoyed my time doing the TEFL Pros course. The modules were easy to understand and straight forward. While more geared towards teaching ESL to adult learners, the information was presented in a way that elements can still be applied to teaching kids too. I especially like the abundance of classroom observation videos, which is something that you can't always experience doing an online course. Additionally, the portfolio assignments after each module were a good way to review and cement your knowledge of the information they are teaching. Any communication with Whitney or Jos was very polite and they were always open to help if needed. I absolutely recommend this program, especially to someone needing something that you can work on at your own pace.

TEFLPros was definitely the right decision for me. I am in no hurry so I took my time reading lots of reviews and this course kept coming up organically as one of the best courses. Others had a lot of louder marketing and constant emails but TEFLPros flies under the radar a bit, which I liked. I liked that they focus on practical skills because this is all new to me and I didn't realize how different it was to speak English vs. teach English. It's also really important for me to feel prepared to do my job, which is how I feel after taking the course. It's very hands on and after completing the course, I have written 7 of my own lesson plans (and got real human feedback on all of them). It's just a start but I know it's a lot more practical than what other courses offer. All in all, my girlfriend and I are both really happy with our choice.

I am really happy that I chose TEFLPros to do my certification. My boyfriend and I spent a while researching courses and this one kept coming up as a top rated course. My experience taking TEFLPros' 120 course was excellent. Being an online course allowed me to take the lessons from my home or office at the time that best suited me. You can also download the material to study offline if you want to or if you want to save a copy on your device. The course material is presented in video form, but if the student prefers reading through it at their own pace, they can do so too. Units also include questions to answer before the unit and an overview to fill out during or after the lesson to help memorize the material. As for the content of the lessons, in my opinion, the material was great. The teachers didn't go into tangents, sticking only to what's relevant to teaching English as a foreign language in a practical and effective way. Each module has videos of real teachers teaching students so you can see how the topics that you're learning are applied and an attached zip file with the materials and lesson plans those teachers used that you can download and study, which I used as examples to make my own plans. The portfolio assignments and module quizzes are fair, the questions and multiple choice options are clear and they stick to assessing what was discussed in the modules. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone that wants to pursue a TEFL Certificate.

My husband and I have been missionaries for over 15 years. I have been teaching English for the past 5 years, privately and in schools over seas. I really enjoyed my students and felt that I was giving back to the world. However, I was never properly trained in ESL and felt that I was just "winging it". I spent a good amount of time researching different TEFL companies to go with and I was totally comfortable when I chose TEFLPros and I'm really glad I did. One thing that stood out for me was their straightforward, direct approach, both in how they explained what they offer before the course, how the lessons were run during the course and the support after the course. I got SO many other lonnnnnng emails (which I'm still getting!) from other courses with a zillion different offerings I felt like my head was going to explode, not to mention when I went on the sites and the pop ups and 9 drop downs menus and asking me all sorts of information. I had originally wanted to do a hybrid in-person/online course, but with Covid I had to reroute. Most 100% online TEFL courses are a bit sketchy and their promise off a job wasn't what I was looking for. Having never formally taught before, the way they broke down lesson planning was very helpful. I now have a portfolio of lesson plans I worked hard to create and documents showing my understanding of grammar and classroom management. And when I had a question about the course, they responded in detail within a day.

I found the TEFLPros course to be very clear, thoughtful and well-organized. I loved watching the classroom videos of real teachers in real action with real students. I appreciated the different ways to absorb the information - via video, audio (trainer chats) and PDFs. I especially enjoyed the assignments within each module. It gave me a chance to use what I learned and also to be creative and let my ideas flow. I felt like Whitney and Jos, the founders of the program, were right there with me. There was no practical classroom teaching time as this is an online course. The only drawback for me, personally, was that the course is very geared toward people who want to live and teach abroad. I'm not doing that right now. The students in the video were not in the age range I'll likely teach (small children and older adults). I wish there had been a bit more information about how to do lessons for children just starting to learn English (as I did when I moved to the U.S. at a young age) or for older folks (say, 30 and up). However, I learned a ton and know that I can customize what I learned for my own in-person or Skype/Zoom lessons. Highly recommend!

I thought this was a great course overall. I have nothing to compare it to but I feel like I got value for what I paid. It was challenging and stimulating enough throughout. The creators and teachers gave good real-life personal experiences. Major focus on lesson planning and classroom videos, which I liked. I had lost my job due to Covid, and was looking for something to do to pass the day. I was hooked and teaching after the first module lesson. While i am not in the position to go abroad to teach at this current moment, i hope to one day be able to do that, and i hope to be able to teach a little locally, if even on a volunteer basis. I know I want to travel the world and, let's put it this way, 2020 hasn't been a gem. However, even though I was stuck at home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to plan for my future. I did thorough research into TEFL courses and TEFLPros always came with praise and positive reviews, and I'm afraid to disappoint but this is another! The course experience was fantastic. I've never done a completely online course before and I felt just as supported with TEFLPros online as I do in a classroom environment. What's brilliant for me is their approach to learning, giving multiple ways for you (as the student) to access and retain the information. As a learner, I struggle to read and learn from that alone. TEFLPros had videos and audio to complement their written content allowing me to take ownership of how I wish to learn. The recording of lessons is a great help and guide - it's very useful. Whitney and Jos have laid the course out well and are full of knowledge through their personal experience as English language teachers. I never had a situation in which I needed to contact them directly, but I know that they are always there if needed. I do not regret completing my TEFL qualification with TEFLPros in the slightest. TEFLPros 120-hour course is time consuming for a full-time employee trying to finish the course accordingly. However, the course offers very valuable insights into teaching, with videos of actual course being taught which are actually very optimistic and encouraging for those who are really considering TEFL as a full-time career. And even if you're just going for a part-time teaching career, there may be some things you can pick up along the way. I had some concepts (especially those which are more practical) strike me and I've considered applying these concepts in my regular corporate job (while searching for employment in the ESL classroom). I believe there are a lot of lessons to be learned from the 120-hr course, and I personally recommend that this course be considered.

I enjoyed the TEFL Pros online course. It is presented in a very logical structure that helps one prepare for the challenges of teaching English as a foreign language. The portfolio assignments give students practice in designing and planning a variety of lessons. I was very pleased with the course.

TEFLPros is a wonderful TEFL course. The course is very engaging and informative. Each module combines both videos and written text, which I found to be very helpful. A large number of the videos show Whitney's and Jos' thought process when preparing a lesson plan. It is invaluable to watch an experienced teacher going through this process. Then to further this experience, a teacher from an English Language School in Thailand is shown teaching the lesson plan that we just watched being created as part of the observation videos. At the end of the course, each student will have a portfolio full of lesson plans to show future employers. I researched quite a bit before settling on TEFLPros. TEFLPros did not disappoint. I thought this course was extremely efficient and well-taught while also being approachable and manageable, as well as hugely affordable compared to comparable programs. The course includes many hours of classroom observations of real TEFL teachers (I believe from Thailand) and seeing them work is in itself enormously educational. The course material, too, is given in small sections with videos usually between 15 and 45 minutes, making it really easy to schedule in, even during a busy day. The portfolio assignments also mean that you have lesson plans to show employers at the completion of the program, and any time I had questions, I was able to reach out and receive quick, friendly assistance. Whitney and Jocelyn did an amazing job with this!!

If you're overwhelmed by all the options, I was too and I am SO glad I chose TEFLPros. I'm teaching online now with plans to move abroad toward the end of the year. My online teaching has been going fantastically largely thanks to what I learned in this course. I had a lot of questions before enrolling and the TEFLPros academic team were the only ones that got back to me with REAL answers. I'm not going to name names, but the other big companies sent me cookie cutter emails with big promises and nothing personal. I didn't get a good feel about that. On the contrary, TEFLPros took the time to answer my questions and never pressured me or dangled crazy sales. The course was easy to navigate and I didn't have any problems with any of the content. When I did have a question, I just reached out directly and they helped me. But to be honest, the course is SO thorough that I really only had one question. By the end of the course, I had learned how to prepare detailed lesson plans with specific activities to help students learn by communicating. You won't regret it. This course builds confidence through knowledge! It has all the elements of an in-classroom course with the convenience of doing the work at your pace and in your own time. It is NOT just a bunch of notes thrown at you. There are plenty of real-life videos from a variety of experienced teachers. Apart from observation teaching videos, the course material and lesson planning are also explained with visual elements, and is not just an audio or text that you go through. You have 18 months to complete while other courses offer a 6 month time frame. Whitney and Jos get back to all queries so quickly and are always going the extra mile to explain. I loved this course so much that I completed it within 4 weeks even though I had a full time demanding job.

TEFLPros was without question the right choice for my TEFL certification. Not only did I feel prepared after going through the course, I got an offer to teach online almost immediately. While this course features real in-class observation via video (I think around 20 hours of it), it's quite easy to adapt what I saw in the classrooms to my online teaching experience. Plus the course taught me how to adapt it to any situation. From my research, no other class has this real-class observation component and I think it makes a big difference; it did for me at least. I also got great help and feedback from REAL PEOPLE. I can't stress enough how much of a difference it made. Before making my choice, I emailed several of the big companies and I felt like a piece of meat to all of them with their sales countdowns etc. TEFLPros was the only course that made me feel like they actually cared about me being a good teacher and that meant a lot to me. I thought that the most valuable part of this course was learning how to shift my thinking from a student mindset to a teacher mindset. I liked that the course didn't focus too much on material, but was more about the tools of instruction. I did find the observations a sometimes a little boring and wished that they had been more different than the lesson plans constructed in the earlier part of the lessons. I also found that the quizzes sometimes asked for weirdly specific things that I didn't necessarily think were the most important. I also wish there was some kind of message board where students could interact a bit more. Overall, this course was well planned and executed. Talking to other TEFL students who signed up for different courses, this seems like one of the better ones, and I am happy that I chose it. Thank you!

I thought the class was pretty amazing. Simple interface, easy to understand material, and the in-class observation video were all incredibly helpful. As someone with no teaching experience after the 120 hours of course work I feel greatly confident in my abilities.

To be short and to the point, in preparation for teaching English in Japan, I wanted to have a solid TEFL Certification behind me in which I could feel confident I learned the material BUT which also offered flexibility to work with my erratic schedule. TEFLPros TEFL course worked perfectly for my needs and allowed me to go slowly at first but speed through the materials as my schedule opened up. I ended up enjoying the materials enough that I finished ahead of schedule!

I decided to take the TEFLPros 120 hour certification course in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. I had lost my job, felt trapped and overall, very down about the state of the world. I decided to pick up a few different courses to keep myself busy, and TEFLPros was one of them. It presented the material in an interesting and understandable way, and gave me something to look forward to every day. I knew that finishing the course would mean that I would have opportunities to begin to work again (teaching virtually) and by doing so, I would be doing something valuable for others. Having Joc and Whitney to listen to every day almost felt like I was getting some social interaction in a time when we had to be socially distant. The course was informative, user friendly, and interesting. Joc and Whitney do a fantastic job at presenting the information and giving relatable, real-life examples. The design allows one to move at their own pace, and pause or go back as much as necessary. I would absolutely recommend taking it!

It was a true pleasure to do the TEFLPros course. How they have it set up is wonderful, as both a comfortable interface (audio / video content alongside a written version - having both made it that much easier to concentrate and absorb the information even when I was tired), and as a way for virtual students to feel that the contact with the teachers is less virtual and more real. It is like having a running podcast (with dynamic, personable voices) while you learn the material. Both teachers have their own personalities, which complement each other well.. And the classroom observation opportunities were also appreciated. It is clear that they invested a lot of effort and care in putting this course together. A couple other positives: 1. The pedagogical structure is intelligently done and effective. This stands out in comparison with other online courses. Material isn't just put down in a PDF that you could read in a book, but is given as interactively as possible. First you do a quick exercise to get you thinking independently about the topic. The section is then ended with a portfolio assignment (that they personally grade and comment at the end!) and a re-cap quiz, both of which contribute to the learning experience. 2. Even the grammar revew, ostensibly one of the shorter components and a practical guide for further research, stands out as a coherent and intelligent summary that is presented with the intellectually honest caveats (there are tons of exceptions!) to make it worthwhile and interesting. Afterward, I looked over my Collins English Verbs book and and made some (pencil) corrections. ;-) I can't yet speak of how this all help my cv, since I just finished the course, but I have begun additional online courses (coronatime fun!), and I have to say that I am missing Whitney and Jos! The TEFLPros experience can make other online courses look static and dated... They certainly require more coffee to get through. Keep up the good work TEFLPros! (I didn't rate Job Assistance since I am located in a country in Europe where I will most likely be very much on my own regardless of the TEFL course... Maybe I should test that theory though! Just finished the course, so haven't yet started. TEFLPros does have a FB page and live discussions grads can join, so there is a real effort to create a virtual network.)

The TEFLPros course was comprehensive. It definitely covered all you need to know to teach a foreign language. Whitney and Jos, both experienced TEFL teachers also made it interesting. Being experienced teachers, they gave real-life examples of situations that you would encounter in a foreign country and how to handle them. As a 74 year old ESL Volunteer for the Congolese Immigrant community in our area I found the TEFL Pros course extremely valuable. I was really impressed with this program, I 100% recommend them. From my first email correspondence all the way through the job help, they made me feel like everything was under control. I NEVER felt any sales pressure which was a big plus for me. A lot of other companies hounded me but TEFLPros didn't. I plan to use the training to teach online. Although the course features real classrooms, Abby the Academic Coordinator explained to me that a proper course should prepare you to teach any kind of learner. And she was right. I watched in person classes (via video) but learned how to adapt my lessons to online situations. In that sense, it was actually kind of an advantage to watch the classes via video because it semi-simulated the virtual classroom. I am a graduate student who has always wanted to travel, work, and live abroad. Prior to enrolling I knew nothing about pedagogy and now I feel like I can hold my own in a classroom with relative ease. I didn't go to school to be a teacher, and my only classroom experience was through my own education. TEFLPros did a great job of exposing me to a bunch of teaching observations, showed me how to lesson plan, and helped me see education from a teaching standpoint, not just a student view. I think the thoroughness of this program to give classroom experience is what sets it apart from other courses. I might have saved some money and finished faster in other courses, but I don't think I would feel as confident walking into a classroom and presenting myself as teacher with those programs, either. The lessons were designed so that people can learn in whatever style is best for them, and helped me to mentally prepare for all sorts of classroom situations. I think Joc and Whitney really practice what they preach, teaching in a communicative way and giving tons of resources to people taking the course. I appreciate how quickly they respond when I reach out with questions, and it's great to know I'm learning from real, responsive people, not just a computer program. TEFLPros did a great job all around. I'm quite skeptical about online TEFL certification (my school paid for me) but these guys must be different from the rest because the course was excellent. I started teaching in Thailand and I've used so much of what I learned in my classroom already. Since the course is online, there is no in-person component, but because they require so many lesson plans and observation hours via your course portal, i felt much more prepared than some of my co-workers who had a few hours of in-class experience but no clue how to plan a lesson. I had to resubmit some of my work for them to check again (because they give direct feedback to you, not just a computer multiple choice quiz) and it was extremely helpful to feel like I had an ACTUAL trainer. Really happy with these guys and my experience.

I needed the certification to go to teach in Vietnam later this year and I'm really happy with this course. The reviews were good and the price was right so I went for it and they didn't disappoint. I didn't realize how important lesson planning was until I took this course. I speak English fluently but the course taught me how to teach English, which is a totally different thing. Each module had assignments that were actually useful in a practical way and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to use my lesson plans (a course requirement that they help you with) when I am teaching in a real classroom. TEFLPros was so great at preparing me to actually teach in the classroom. I'm volunteering at a community center before I go abroad and they taught me how to write and follow great lesson plans. On the course, you watch a lot of video of real classes and you can download the lesson plans (18 of them!) and you also plan your own lessons and get feedback from a trainer. So when I finished the course, I had lots of plans written that I can use in my classes. I also really liked that I could do this from my phone or iPad. I have a crazy schedule so it was nice to study when I had free time. I was really impressed with all of it!

This was the perfect course for me. I researched a lot of them before choosing TEFLPros and I'm glad I went with them. I just got a good vibe that they were really transparent and honest. I love to travel so deciding to teach English abroad was an easy one for me. But choosing the best course was tough. There are SO many options but I’m totally happy with everything from TEFLPros. They seem really transparent and honest in a space that is super scammy. That’s refreshing. They gave me straightforward advice and helped me land an awesome job. If you want to teach and travel, this is the right course :)

I wanted a course that made me feel actually prepared to teach and this was the right one. TEFLPros focus is on lesson planning and I had to write lots of my own lesson plans which they reviewed with me one-on-one. I actually felt like by the time I completed the course that I could get up in front of a class and teach well. I had done some volunteer work in the past in Ethiopia but I’m looking forward to getting my first full time teaching job in Asia thanks to TEFLPros. Great course!

TEFLPros never disappointed! From start to finish, they were unbelievably helpful. I started with their free beginner's guide which gave me some great advice. I tried a module of the course for free after that and it was just awesome. I knew that it would be the right course for me because it actually prepared me with practical skills. After finishing the course and getting my one-on-one feedback from Whit, I feel so prepared for my job (which TEFLPros helped me to get!) and I can't wait to start. I'm so happy with my experience with TEFLPros. They really are Pros! The course has a really in-person feel for an online course. I felt like I had real teachers and the support system they offer was fantastic. There was always someone to answer my questions quickly. The course was challenging but not TOO challenging. Growing up in America, I had a narrow vision of the world but once I got a chance to live abroad, I received an important perspective shift. Daily annoyances of living in the first world doesn't compare with living in a developing country whose citizens often struggle with basic needs, yet maintain high levels of enthusiasm, kindness and happiness. Living abroad was life changing, much more than taking a series of 1 week vacations here and there. I'm happy to have taken this course that comfortably taught me at my own pace and subsequently helped me quickly find a job in Thailand. They helped me to set expectations well, especially the initial shock of living abroad in a completely different culture. I made many foreign and local friends during my time abroad and I'm currently looking for more adventures teaching overseas! With my teaching certification and experience, finding another job should be reasonably quick!

This comprehensive course was very engaging and an excellent choice. I feel completely prepared to begin my new career teaching English as a foreign language with the skills I've learned through this course. The video content was engaging and thorough. The guidance on course content and lesson planning has prepared me for real-life application of the these tools. This course was a great choice for my TEFL Certification, and I feel the value of the content was more than worth it.

I had no idea what I wanted to do in life. All I knew for sure was that I wanted to travel. After taking the course and teaching abroad for nearly a year in Barcelona I’ve learned that my true passion is helping others achieve their goals. I’m a “mature” learner haha. So I wasn’t sure if taking an online course would be too difficult for me as I’m not really computer savvy. But I didn’t have any in-person courses near me and I didn’t want to spend $1000+ (I’m planning to volunteer). So I gave online a shot. Wow. Now I don’t think other online courses offer what these guys offer. It was incredibly easy to navigate and the content was engaging and thorough. It was easy to upload my assignments and they were always available to answer questions (I had a lot!). I could take this at home when I had free time. One of my girlfriends went the cheap route (something for $40 on Groupon) and she quit and came to watch me do the TEFLPros course! She ended up signing up with them too because she was so impressed. Well done ladies, I really enjoyed it. Older people, don’t be scared! You can do it!

I've always hesitated with online courses because they can feel stiff and repetitive. TEFLPros did a great job of making each lesson so engaging and interactive that I felt like I was in a live-stream lesson. The courses were really helpful and gave only the most needed information. I also liked that by the end of the course I had a stack of prepared lesson plans to show during interviews/use for future classes.

For anyone who wants to feel really ready to get into a classroom but doesnt have the time or money to take an in-person class, TEFLPros is the perfect solution! They really made this course for a modern learner. I actually started another online course (that I won’t say) and it was just terrible. I didn’t finish it and then TEFLPros was recommended by a friend and so I gave it another shot. Wow, I was NOT disappointed this time. They helped me get a great job in Korea and I’m loving it. I’m so happy with my TEFLPros experience. From my first contact with them, they went above and beyond to make sure I understand everything about the course. I’m not a native speaker but I’m fluent in English and TEFLPros was perfect for me. I want to teach in my home country, Thailand, and I needed a reputable TEFL course. I had some teaching experience but TEFLPros helped me refine my skills and definitely made me a better teacher and tutor. The grammar module was very clear and I’ll use it when I meet with my students. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants something that’s good quality. It’s not for people who don’t care about teaching.

There are so many TEFL programs out there, it was overwhelming to make a choice. But I DEFINITELY made the right choice with TEFLPros. They were super helpful from start to finish.
