Online Trinity CertTESOL Course
Program Overview
The Trinity College London Certificate TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is the highest TEFL qualification (same as the CELTA), validated by Trinity College London.
We offer the online course in two duration options:
- 6-week course: Mondays + Fridays from 10 am-12 pm or 4-6 pm CET
- 10-week course: Fridays from 4-6 pm or Saturdays from 10 am-12 pm CET (you can choose)
(Weekly live lesson on Zoom)
+ Online Teaching Practice:
Any weekday, once or twice a week, from 10 am-11.30 am or 6-7.30 pm CET (you can choose)
+ 10-15 flexible study hours per week.
The Trinity Cert TESOL course is a combination of:
- Guided Observations – when you watch experienced teachers at work.
- Input Sessions – theoretical lessons where you learn teaching methodology.
- Teaching Practice – you teach real students, with guided preparation and feedback from your tutor.
- Unknown Language – learning a completely new language to experience what it’s like to be a beginner student.
During the course, you also complete assignments and write journals.
The course is recognised by the British Council and employers worldwide. Credits are also awarded towards degree programmes in the UK.

What’s the qualification?
You will study the Trinity College London Certificate TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) the highest level of TEFL qualification (the same as the CELTA).
Where can I work after?
Anywhere you like! Our Trinity accredited TEFL courses are recognised by both the British Council and employers worldwide. Credits are also awarded towards degree programmes offered by universities in the UK.
You do not need any prior teaching degrees or experience to teach abroad. Once you have your TEFL certificate, you are 100% able to work as a TEFL teacher.
What technology will I need to do the online course?
There aren’t any specific technology requirements for doing the online course, other than having Internet access with a modern Internet browser and a PC or laptop.
Who can take a TEFL course?
All are welcome, whether you have teaching experience or not. Candidates should be 18 or over by the start of the course. You also need to have a high level of written and spoken English but native English is NOT a requirement.
When can I start?
We run many TEFL courses throughout the year, 100% online, blended, but also onsite (4 weeks or 10 weeks), so we have a course for you! Check our website for details. We can’t wait to meet you!
