Overall, I loved this course. I loved learning how to teach ESL and I loved the people that I did it with. I highly recommend coming down to Mexico if you need a change of pace. This is where you are going to find it. The team are amazing. They work around the clock to make sure that you have everything you need. They are also sure that you get placed in the best possible location that meets your wants and needs. They provide housing with other trainees, which allows you to become close. Overall, good benefits. This course is A LOT of fun. Puerto Vallarta is an amazing town, and I have decided to stay here to teach. The course gives you a free walking tour of the town, which was informative and fun, and also shows you the best beaches to head to on your breaks. The people are great and I've made some wonderful friends. The course itself is entertaining. The instructors are all friendly and enthusiastic about what they are doing, which is reflected in the course.

For my application, after sending the required documents I had a brief interview to ensure that TEFL would be a good fit for me. The program coordinator Mike was very kind, and responsive. He answered all of my questions and left me worry free. When I first arrived to Puerto Vallarta I was picked up from the airport and brought to my hotel. Assistance was always available during my stay. The course was straightforward and provided so much information that has definitely been beneficial. We were given 10 hours of real in class teaching practice before we completed the program. I could not be happier with the route I choose to take. As a b amateur, I found that this was the best choice for me. Job assistance was provided for me as promised and I currently work in Guadalajara teaching English in a language center and teaching French on the side. I absolutely loved it. The entire 32 days I spent down there was unbelievable. Our teacher was very informative but also hilarious. I enjoyed all the time spent in the classroom, and all my free time spent out of the classroom. It was the best experience of my life to date, and I travel often. It was so worth the money and I cannot wait to go back one day! Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful safe place and having gotten my TEFL certification there is most definitely the best investment (time & money wise) for my future I think I've ever made. You learn lots of helpful concepts and techniques for the classroom, you get to be immersed in a foreign culture and be surrounded by great people, and you're living in a paradise for a whole month. The entire experience is great, from start to finish. The teaching practices are a great experience because you get to lead multiple age groups and actually get a feel for what you prefer. One of my classmates went in wanting to teach children and after teaching practices realized she actually really enjoyed teaching adults too. The class itself is super informative. I'd already taught English to adults before, so I didn't think I would learn as much as I did. I'm actually really glad I took this course. We had the best teacher. He was so experienced and very knowledgeable; I felt like him being my teacher really made a huge difference. Outside of the teaching/management staff, everyone else who was there as a teacher was also very helpful. We had like our own little TEFL community in Puerto Vallarta. The tips everyone had to offer ranged from where we should apply to teach next, all the way to where we could find the cheapest tacos.
