- Preparing the restaurant and ensuring the tables are well-presented
- Familiarizing yourself with the menu and dishes of the day
- Taking orders and passing them to the kitchen
- Serving food and ensuring the guests receive all their orders, clearing the tables after
- Learning about enology and mixology
- Managing restaurant stocks and supplies, ensuring these are complete (cutlery, glasses, coffee, etc.)
- Upholding the restaurant’s hygiene rules and standards
