This program is designed for volunteers to teach math lessons in primary and junior high schools in rural and semi-rural communities in Ghana based on the Ghana Education Curriculum. It suits individuals who want to volunteer to teach during a gap year, summer placement, or career break.

This curriculum is designed to help children:
• Develop basic ideas of quantity and space.
• Use basic mathematics and necessary strategies for solving problems encountered in daily life by recognizing relationships between numbers.
• Communicate effectively using mathematical terms and symbols.
• Use appropriate instruments for various systems of measurement.
• Reason logically by selecting and applying criteria for clarification and generalization.

As a math teaching volunteer, you will provide an engaging classroom within a multi-cultural and community-centered environment for learning and growing with children. Volunteers will provide students with instructions on an array of math-related subjects.

There is no specific qualification required to join the project. Volunteers should be flexible, open-minded, proactive, and passionate about working with children.
