univie: Summer School for International and European Studies

The univie: summer school is located in the picturesque village of Strobl in the Salzkammergut region, one of Austria’s most attractive summer vacation areas.

The univie: summer school for International and European Studies offers twelve European Studies courses, which focus on the emerging new Europe. They cover political, economic, and legal, but also historical and cultural aspects of the multiple transformations the continent is currently undergoing. 

The program fee consists of the summer school fee, the Austrian Students Union fee, and the room and board fee.

• The Summer school fee includes registration, tuition, use of all sports and recreational facilities, and all planned excursions at €3,000
• Austrian students’ union fee: €25.20.
• Room and board fee with provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Accommodation in a single room costs €2,453.30 and €2,061.30 for a double room.

A limited number of partial scholarships ranging from €1,000 to €3,000 are available for the European Studies section of the univie: summer school. The scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence and financial need. To receive a scholarship, students must demonstrate their financial need by describing their financial situation and submitting related documents.
