Seville Abroad

I wanted my daughter to have lots of support when she studied abroad for high school. Seville Abroad didn’t disappoint. She had a wonderful host family. The center was a great respite from the intense immersion school provided. They had Spanish classes three times a week to pull together the language she learned at school. They did several day trips/trips and outings which helped facilitate and deepen friendships with other Seville Abroad students. She came back with so much confidence and love for Spain.

My 15-year-old son just completed his time with Seville Abroad. They had so many amazing activities and culturally immersive experiences, from trips to Granada and other locations, to flamenco dance lessons. The program was great about sending photos and updates to the parents nearly every day. He had a wonderful experience and we would consider their semester abroad program.

The Seville Abroad team provided the most amazing foundation for our son as a spent his sophmore year living abroad. They were all absolutely wonderful - they are excellent communicators, made our son feel so welcome and supported, and the program showcased Spain's rich history, diversity, and culture. If you are interested in living abroad as a high schooler, we can't recommend this program enough.

I would 100% recommend this program. Not only can you become fluent in a second language, you learn the type of person you are and how to live independently. The trips we took with the people in the program were some of the most fun i’ve ever had and I have gained so many different perspectives on the world. Everyone of the Staff; Pepa, Ena, Ana, and Chelo are so nice and easy to talk too.

Our daughter had a lm incredible experience with Seville abroad for a semester in Seville. Her family was fantastic, the program staff are supportive and encouraging and really got to know our daughter as a person. While the regular connection with Americans was sometimes a barrier to fully immersing in Spanish life, it provided a deep safety net for social connection and friendship. The thing that most impressed us were the staff at Seville Abroad - they are truly incredible people who seem to always go the extra mile (kilometer!) for the students and their families. We feel so lucky to have found them.

Our daughter spent an entire year with Seville Abroad, and we cannot speak highly enough about the program. Pepa and her team were excellent from the first contact my daughter made, answering all of our questions and meeting with us to discuss the various school placement options. She worked hard to match our daughter with a host family, and when an issue arose with the initial placement, she immediately addressed the situation and found a replacement host family for the remainder of the year - the transition couldn’t have been smoother. Seville Abroad provides wonderful opportunities for the students to travel both within and outside of Spain, as well as language and cultural immersion opportunities in Seville itself, forging strong bonds among the students participating in the program. Our daughter returned to us happy, confident, mature and incredibly independent (not to mention nearly fluent in Spanish). So grateful that she had this opportunity!

I spent last summer in Seville and I had the best time. I really liked everyone who I was with and it was such a welcoming program. I was constantly busy and when there were no scheduled activities it gave me the perfect time to go out and explore, which was one of my favorite parts. The language class was not just basic grammar and spelling, we would go out and use our new skills at local restaurants, etc. I highly recommend.

The experience was honestly great I was so immersed with the culture and language. The staff was so kind and welcoming and the activities were so exhilarating. I would one hundred percent recommend to everybody I know.

I am writing this review knowing that its exactly what I did when choosing an international program for my 15 year old son. We are so glad we choose this! Our family could not be more grateful for the incredible experience our child had with Seville Abroad. From the moment he arrived, the program provided a safe, supportive environment that encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone and discover his own strengths. One of the most meaningful outcomes for us was watching him grow more independent than ever before. Whether navigating daily life, engaging with new friends, or embracing the vibrant culture of Seville, he learned to trust himself by making good decisions and most of all become more comfortable traveling by himself. Our 16 year old daughter had the time of her life in Sevilla. Everyday was full of unique, well thought out experiences. A week before the program ending, she called us to say she didn’t want to return home. She made wonderful friendships and has continued traveling with some of them back in the United States. Pepa and her staff gave daily updates with photos and were quick to respond to any questions we had during the trip. We can’t recommend Sevilla Abroad enough for an incredible experience for your child.

If you’re thinking about doing Seville Abroad, definitely do it! It truly was the best experience of my life and I think back about it so much! When I first arrived at the airport I already knew I would become so close with the group of people I was traveling with and we all clicked instantly. When I met my host family, I was greeted with so much welcome and kindness and I knew I was going to love it there immediately. I learned so much spanish and so much about the culture there and met so many new people. The teachers are absolutely amazing and are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The group of people I traveled with became like close family and I know I’m going to have so many lifelong friendships all over the U.S.. Seville is also the most beautiful and safe place and the buildings are so gorgeous. I loved all the excursions we did and how much of Spain we got to see. This truly was such an amazing program and I had so much fun!

Sevilla Abroad was an amazing experience perfect for any aspiring student who wishes to integrate into the culture of another country. The program was methodically planned to provide a wonderful experience, filled with activities and trips that any high schooler would love. All of the staff do an incredible amount to make you feel welcomed and loved. I could not recommend a better way to spend a summer.

As a 17 year old rising senior in high school in the USA, I attended the summer language/cultural immersion program at Seville Abroad for an entire month this year. I do not have enough words to describe how wonderful my experience was in every possible way. Pepa and her team were incredibly professional, warm and caring. They made sure all the attending students were always well cared for. The language classes were helpful and fun, and my homestay could not have been a better experience. I was matched with a wonderful host family who made me feel welcomed and cared for and showed me the best of the culture in Seville. Through this experience I forged lifelong friendships and developed a strong desire to go back and learn more about the wonderful Spanish culture. I highly recommend this great experience. I can simply say that I loved everything about Seville Abroad, and I know that you will too!

It was an amazing experience. It was well coordinated, educational, tun, and extremely immersive in the culture. We had good amounts of both touring and guided visits in the city, as well as time to roam and explore on our own. It was also one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen and I really enjoyed myself.

This was my daughter’s first time away from all of her friends and she definitely struggled with being homesick. Her host family and the Seville Abroad team coaxed her out of her shell and encouraged her to try new things and she came away from the experience with confidence in her ability to speak Spanish and to try new things. She talks frequently about wanting to go back to Spain and plans to return to Seville this spring to visit a friend she made there. She came back feeling more prepared to take on any new adventure. I was constantly amazed at the many places they traveled and how expertly planned the whole experience was. Pepa treats these students like they are her own family and the staff at Seville Abroad were all so kind and helpful to my daughter. They communicated daily with parents. I can not recommend this program highly enough.

Greetings - Our daughter attended both the Seville Abroad Summer Program (2023) and the High School Abroad program (2024/2025). We were really impressed by the Seville Abroad program in general and would definitely recommend it to others. Our daughter loved both of her experiences and the time that she spent living and studying in Spain. The program includes a variety of incredible experiences including living with a host family, attending a local high school, and traveling both regionally in Spain, as well as around Europe and North Africa. Our daughter really enjoyed the structure of the program and the opportunity to develop new friendships, both with local teenagers, as well as with other students associated with the Seville Abroad program. Additionally, our daughter benefited from the multitude of oppotunities to immerse herself in new culture experiences and to improve her Spanish language skills. We loved the experience so much that we are currently exploring the opportunity to have our son attend the program as well. In conclusion, we would be remiss without making mention of the Seville Abroad staff (Pepa, Chelo, et al.) for the care that they put into the program and towards curating a positive and dynamic immersive experience for all of the students. My. Daughter attended Seville Abroad 2024 to 2025 Grade 12. She had an amazing experience both culturally and educational. The Organizers are amazing and responsive to any issues. They are nurturing and attentive. Her placement with her host familly was great. There were many outings and trips organized which allowed bonding among the group as well as immersion into the Spanish culture. It was definitely an amazing life experience. Seville is a very safe city. And easy to get around. My daughter came back speaking Spanish quite fluently. She did not speak Spanish before. I would recommend this program for the experience.. you will not be disappointed with the Orgsnizers. They are all truly wonderful individuals and treat their group l like familly.

Studying abroad was definitely the best decision I’ve made this year. Although at the start, it might be really scary. The people that you will meet will become some of your best friends. All the teachers at Sevilla abroad are so committed to what they do and you can tell that they really wanna make connections and get to no each individual student. I had such an amazing time and met the most amazing people, and I am so happy I decided to study abroad.

I never in 1 million years would think that at 15 years old, I would be alone in Spain. This was definitely an unforgettable experience, I have created so many new friendships and bonds that could last a lifetime. All the staff members were so incredibly supportive and welcoming to the program. My host family made me feel like apart of the family and made it so much easier to adjust. All of the students are so friendly and caring, making sure everyone feels apart of the group.

I loved the Seville abroad summer program so much! It exceeded all my expectations and I feel like I did everything I wanted to do and more. I loved meeting Spanish friends, eating the typical Spanish food, and bonding with the other people on the program.

My experince during this past month completly blew my expectations. This entire time my only complaint was the comute to Palomares to Seville, but that was overcome when I was able to complete it each day with some of my closest friends here.

At first being here so far from my family was really hard for me, I started out feeling pretty lonely. But throughout this month I was challenged to make new connections and push myself to communicate both in English and Spanish. In the end this was such an amazing, life changing experience and I am sad to be leaving beautiful Seville and all my friends.

We were looking for a program for our 11th grade son. The search immediately got really overwhelming! There seem to be an infinite number of options. What made us look at Seville Abroad was the fact that they are not an intermediary with multiple programs (sub-contracts) around the world. The people we email or call are the SAME people that work with host families, run the office in Seville, and interact with our son. It was very comforting to know that the Seville Abroad team got to know our son. They chose a perfect host family for him, and were very attentive throughout the year. Seville Abroad had very thoughtful programming within Spain. This includes a great office where our son could stop by for any extra help with school, Spanish, etc. or just to hang out. They presented a lot of optional trips that were a great way to connect our son with the other exchange students. Our son developed really wonderful relationships with the staff of Seville Abroad. Pepa and her team are passionate about their program, the city of Seville, and the idea of creating these experiences for youth. Our family recommends them without any hesitation. They provide incredibly personalized support and our son had a transformational experience thanks to them.

Our daughter had a wonderful experience with Seville Abroad. She did the year long program her junior year of HS. The program staff were very welcoming, and provided excellent communication before, during and after the program. We felt that they went above and beyond to make sure our daughter and the other students were buys with meaning excursions both locally and in places like Morocco, Paris and Cadiz. She was placed with a terrific host family that cared for her and proved her with all she needed for he year abroad. The additional tutoring and meet-ups provided by the program during the school week really helped her with her Spanish language skills. We would feel very comfortable recommending Seville Abroad to anyone who has a child interested in studying abroad in Spain!

Our daughter spent the first half of 2024 in the Seville Abroad program. We really liked the fact that this is a small program based entirely in the beautiful and safe city of Seville. The students and staff become like a close family. When our daughter was struggling with culture shock and home sickness, the staff was so kind and supportive, helping her to make adjustments and find the support she needed to work through the struggles and come away from the experience with a new sense of self and confidence. Her language skills and ability to face challenges and new environments have improved immensely, and we're so grateful she had this experience. As a parent I could not have asked for more!

Our daughter spent a year in Sevilla in 2023/4 and attend San Francisco De Paula, which offers an IB curriculum that synchronizes with the IB program in Oregon of course. Best experience of our daughter's life and can't recommend Seville Abroad enough. I enjoyed the year I spent with Sevilla Abroad. The program was extremely helpful during the application process and continued to be extremely helpful throughout my time there. Every day felt like a new adventure: new parts of the city to explore, new food to try, new people to meet, and even other new countries to visit! It was an experience that I will treasure forever! I feel that I will benefit from having done this experience for the rest of my life.

I lived in Triana in Seville, Spain. The culture is present here in the food, the architecture and the events like Semana Santa and Feria. This is what most excited me about living in Spain. I loved to walk through the neighborhoods. I lived with a family that had children the same age as me. They were kind and supportive. They helped me learn Spanish and showed me around Seville. My school was very different from American high school. I learned so much Spanish language here because I needed to. The excursions with Seville Abroad were great. The people in the Seville Abroad program were so nice. I will never forget my time in Spain.

My daughter spent her sophomore year in Seville. Seville Abroad was well organized and responsive to her needs. The folks running the program and excellent and made struck the right balance between protection and growth and exploration. We felt confident that our daughter was in good hands. I think this was was transformational year for our daughter. She is ready to head of to college now, and she is just a junior! Her love of travel and language study has only grown. She is now close to fluent in Spanish, after having had only one year of Spanish in 9th grade in the US before having her Seville Abroad experience.

My year at seville abroad was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. It was at times very difficult as when I got there I had limited Spanish knowledge, however the program always had a good support system in place for any problems I had. I confidently feel now that my language skills have much improved and that I will have many friends in new countries.

I studied in high school with Seville Abroad and truly had one of the greatest experiences of my life. Pepa, Chelo and Nicole are the kindest people and created the most welcoming place in a new environment. They were helpful and accommodating and made me feel very safe. Going to school was hard at first but became easier and eventually was fun. I made lifelong friends that I am already planning to go visit and I miss Seville so much! The excursions were a highlight and my host family was amazing! I can’t recommend this program enough!!

Seville Abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. I got to travel, immerse myself in the Spanish culture, and build lifelong friendships with people from the program and in Sevilla, Spain. I faced many challenges there, but Pepa and Chelo were always there to support me and I could count on them for whatever I needed. I was able to see a lot of Europe while there with the program and alone. I spoke to my Spanish friends daily as well as the friends I made inside the program even after my time in Sevilla ended. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better program. Pepa and Chela create a community with all the students there that makes it easy to build friendships.

Ever since I returned to the United States, I can't stop thinking Spain. I felt very supported by the Seville Abroad team and I loved my host family. The experiences I had and the friendships I gained are priceless! Thank you so much!

My daughter spent a gap year in Sevilla during which she attended a public high school. Seville Abroad provided her with the opportunity to live abroad and experience a new culture with the security of having support nearby if she needed it. Her goal was to improve her Spanish and learn about a new culture. She did both of these and more. Sevilla Abroad offers tutoring, in country and out of country excursions, and opportunities to partake in local celebrations. The first two months were the hardest as she worked to improve her Spanish skills and make friends. She ended the year more confident and outgoing, with excellent Spanish skills and close friendships with Spanish and American friends. The decision to go abroad changed her life for the better and gave her experiences and new perspectives she would not have had without this opportunity. Given the option to do it again, we would most definitely do it all again.

I participated in the Seville Abroad Summer Program in the summer of 2023. This was my first time ever traveling abroad by myself. I really loved the Seville Abroad program and would highly recommend it. The program offered a well balanced mix of host family time, Spanish language classroom study, and fun travel excursions. I really enjoyed the opportunity to live with a local Spanish family and to experience all of travel in southern Spain. The staff at Seville Abroad were fantastic. I felt supported throughout my experience and they always took the time to check in with me to make sure that all of my needs were being met. Based on my positive experience, I am now looking to apply to Seville Abroad again and to participate in their High School Abroad program.

The Seville Abroad Program has our highest recommendation. From the very beginning it was palpable that the staff was not only professional and organized but above all it was caring and always thoughtful of the students. Our 17 year old son participated in their Summer Abroad Program and he not only improved his Spanish, and cultural understanding of Spain, but forged the sweetest of friendships with the Seville Abroad staff and with his host family. We never felt for one second that our son was not being cared for. We were kept informed through messages and pictures of everything our son was doing in accordance to the schedule. The staff went to meet him in NY and took him back there when the program was over. Our son did not want to come back. Everything was lovely! Needless to say, we love everyone at Seville Abroad, the director, Pepa is a mother to the kids, Chela, Nicole and Andrew were also amazing, taking the kids around and taking good care of them. We are looking forward to sending our other two sons in a few years. Seville Abroad is a Top notch program!!

The Seville Abroad program was amazing. It was an unforgettable experience! I learned so much about the Spanish culture, ate good authentic foods, spent quality time with the locals, practiced my Spanish and fell in love with Spain. I made lifelong friendships and have so many good memories. I will never forget all the excursions and places we visited. We always had something fun going or or somewhere interesting to explore. The teachers and my host family were so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. I always felt understood, safe, and comfortable around them all. They really cared about me and it showed. I highly recommend this program. I felt very safe walking around the city and always saw other teenagers walking around too with their friends. Everyone was friendly and welcoming to me throughout the city. I left this experience with more knowledge, appreciation and independence. I learned so much about myself being immersed in the program. It really changed my life and i am so grateful. I already miss my teachers, my host family, my new friends, and Spain. I look forward to next years program.

This program was beyond my expectations amazing. The amount of things that they did in 4 weeks was incredible. I felt like my son was so well taken care of and safe. He felt like a different person when got home. He said it was the best summer of his life and he loved every minute of it. He is also speaking much better in Spanish. We are beyond grateful for this program and the people that were in charge.

Our family was so impressed with Seville Abroad. The staff was friendly, accessible and very hands on with the kids. Their attention to making sure our son had the perfect host family paid off, and he has made a special, lasting international friendship. They were given a good mix of freedom and support and lots of opportunities to bond with the other students and the host siblings. Our son's Spanish skills definitely improved and he is so much more knowledgable and understanding of other cultures. He's developed a love for Spain that will last a lifetime!

Signing up for a program on the other side of the world in a country that doesn't speak your language was daunting, but Pepa and her team couldn't have made the experience any better than it was. From filling out the application to finding out who my host family was, the classes, the experiences, the days at the beach, and trips away, it was the best experience of my life. I have made lifelong friends, my Spanish has greatly improved and it has given me a new level of independence. This trip exceeded all expectations and I am forever grateful for the opportunities.

Let me start by saying you are in good hands with Pepa and Chelo. Everything else (host family and school) will be a bit more challenging but keep in mind any family that is willing to take in an unknown teenager for one or two semesters deserves a medal. The 1st 2 weeks we got daily tearful phone calls but it was to be expected. This is culture shock and being away from all your comfort zones (school, friends, family, neighborhood, etc) but it is a priceless awakening that takes place in your teenager. Also if thet apply themselves and commit to school and speaking with their host family in Spanish ,they will be bilingual. This is a wonderful hands on program with daily tutoring and checkins with Pepa and Chelo and the other kids in the program. They all bond together because they are experiencing a new culture and place together albeit with different families and schools. The travel opportunities were fantastic and Seville is a charming, worldly but also completely of "its own "place. I highly recommend Seville Abroad. The night before my daughter was to return to California she called to stay she did'nt want to leave and wanted to stay another year. She's home now but she looks back on her time there as life changing.

Sevilla Abroad provided a great support system of adults, and American peers that made adjusting to life in Spain much easier. They do a great job of fostering a community within the program while also facilitating Spanish immersion and independence for their students. The program-organized outings and trips were amazing as well. I definitely recommend Sevilla Aboad.

My daughter spent her whole junior high school year 2021-2022 in Seville Abroad program. She had an amazing time. She loved it. The director of the program and the people in the program were very sweet and helpful and treated my daughter like their own. My daughter also loved her host family. She felt comfortable with them and they were like her true family. The immersion aspect of the program is a great asset for kids. My daughter has become fluent in Spanish. The friendships she has built are for a lifetime - with the kids in the program, the people in the program, as well as the host family. We are already talking about going to Seville in the near future. I highly recommend the program.

I had an amazing time in Sevilla from January to June. My host family was wonderful and the program provided so many opportunities to travel and explore Sevilla. I wish that I could do it again, because even with all the opportunities there is always more to discover and learn about. The program is very flexible and excited to do any excursions or cultural experiences that you want to do.

Seville Abroad is the best program I could’ve chosen. I studied abroad with them for an entire school year and it had such a wonderful impact on me. The administrators are extremely caring, the entire program is like one big family. I felt completely safe and taken care of by them. This program makes sure to give you as much as they can during your time abroad. We were placed in a spanish speaking family and school, given Spanish lessons 3 times a week at the program’s headquarters (as well as other immersion activities), went on many trips together, and were even given flamenco dance lessons! I wouldn’t change a single thing about this agency. I will always cherish the relationships I made with my director, spanish teacher, and the other kids. They will make you never want to leave.

I had an amazing time studying with Seville Abroad. Pepa, Chelo, and Anthea care so much about our experiences and about us as students. They work so hard for us and go above and beyond to really make this a unique and educational time in our lives.

My daughter had a fabulous time in Spain with the Seville Abroad program. School was not exactly what she expected, but she attended all classes and made the best of it. The Spanish tutoring sessions with Chelo made all the difference. Her Spanish improved greatly, she made life long friends and she had experiences she will never forget, including some traveling. The host family she lived with treated her as one of their own, watched over her, kept her safe and made sure she participated in all available programming. I could not have asked for a better experience for my daughter. She has spoken about almost nothing else since she’s been home, and greatly looks forward to going back to visit.

Seville abroad has been one of the most exciting experiences of my life! I have met some of the most wonderful people and made amazing friends and memories that’ll last a lifetime. This opportunity has allowed me to grow as person, gain independence and further my language skills. The program is great in cultural immersion and encourages the students to make new Spanish friends and practice their language skills as much as possible. Pepa is wonderful and so caring. She makes sure that all of us are happy and adjusting well to the new lifestyle. Chelo is a great teacher who pushed all of us to improve our Spanish. She was also one of the kindest people I have met who welcomed me to her home and family with open arms. I could not have asked for a better program run by better people in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I am so grateful for all that Seville abroad has done for me. And I cannot wait to come back and visit all of my new friends!

Thanks to Seville Abroad last year I spent 4 months in Seville and it truly was the best experience of my life. I learned a new language, immersed myself in a new culture and tried living on my own for the first time and everything went better than I could have ever imagined. I had a caring and kind host family with an older brother and a sister my age with whom I bonded immediately. I absolutely loved my school because everyone in my class was very nice and open and in very little time I made amazing friendships. Furthermore even though there was Covid and we couldn't travel much Seville abroad organized very cool excursions around Andalucia, which were super fun and intresting. Some of my favorite trips were Granada, Cordoba and Cadiz. Seville Abroad also offered afternoon spanish classes 3 times a week with a private spanish teacher. These classes were very helpful and made me improve a lot, but they were also really fun because I was with other exchange students and we bonded a lot. Although at the beginning I was unsure if to go or not because living away from home for such a long time worried me, I'm so happy I decided to leave because it's been the best experience of my life and I'll never forget it.

I learned more in a year in Spain than any other year of school in my life. I went into this program looking for a way to learn Spanish and also experience new and unfamiliar environments in which I would be constantly challenged. I think that Seville Abroad allowed me to achieve my goals and more. I was paired with a really wonderful family and I felt like my host mom was my real mom before I left. Even though a lot of one’s experience is dictated by the family with which they are placed, the program directors will always work to ensure students are matched with the right family for them and are more than willing to make changes if needed. Seville Abroad sets a standard for all students that encourages involvement in language and culture while also allowing each individual to decide the level of challenge and involvement that best suits them. I decided to really push myself to speak Spanish and learn about all aspects of Spanish culture and so I left satisfied with my new knowledge and skills. Other students were free to engage as much as they felt comfortable and left with varying levels of speaking skills and knowledge of the local culture. Even though my entire experience was overcast by the situation of COVID I still felt that I got to do everything I had set out to do thanks to the help of my amazing host mom and the program director. Unlike many other programs, Seville Abroad really gives students independence and freedom to go about their daily lives without being constantly micro-managed. The small program size allows freedom from the corporate responsibilities of other, larger programs that treat the experience as a series of boxes hat need to be checked. The small size of Seville Abroad allows for a much more personalized experience fit for the needs of each student. However, there is still a good structure for involving students in cultural experiences and travel organized by the program. I felt deeply cared for by my host mother and program director and never felt unsafe or unheard. I had a truly authentic year in Spain that offered the chance to live life totally immersed and integrated into the local culture of Seville. I can’t promise this authenticity with other programs. I feel I have made a lifelong connection to Spain with now fluent Spanish and also a deep bond with my host mother that I hope to maintain for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t have had the year any other way. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning Spanish and experiencing and learning about a new culture.

The Seville Abroad program was amazing for me, and I just want to go back and do it again. I was really set on the experience of learning a new language, and having fun doing it. This program is perfect for that. I found a supportive community, which was so important because it was my first time traveling alone. The program is well-organized and exciting, but small enough that you will get personal attention, and accommodations if you need them. For example, me and some of the other students had different levels of Spanish knowledge and wanted more specialized learning, and Pepa and Chelo arranged it right away. They pair you with welcoming, loving families in a beautiful town, and the fact that I went to the summer program was perfect because Andalucia is so so beautiful in the summer. Please do this if you want to just take the leap and immerse yourself in a new culture, you will not be disappointed.

This program is an amazing opportunity to meet new people from many other countries and to improve your Spanish at the same time. Seville is a beautiful city with an impressive subway system that helps you see all the sights. All the host families were amazing and the other students in the program were all very motivated to improve their Spanish. If you are thinking of going abroad, I would recommend Seville Abroad.

I have never been out of the US before I took part in this program. It taught me to expand my horizons and the fun there can be in experiencing new cultures. The family I stayed with were really hospitable and they made sure to include me in their traditions and make my experience unique! We visited places like the Roman coliseum and the town festival on the weekends. Exploring the different cities was incredible to me especially with their cobblestone streets and unique architecture.

This experience changed my life, i am such a more mature and ready for life person. It has shown me what i want to do with my life. I love all the people i met there, i love the language, the culture, the food, the city, everything. It was definitely the best thing i have ever done in my life. I am returning to Spain soon, and i can't wait. You enjoy every day while you are there, even school. Everyone was so nice and supporting, and you learn a lot in very little time.

These past few months have been such an amazing memorable and truly unforgettable experience in Seville. I couldn’t have asked for a better time here, from my amazing host family who made me feel so welcome and at home ever since my very first day. My host siblings (especially Irene, my host sister) has been one of my closest friends here, she’s always there for me and I love spending time with her after school and on weekends. It really felt like I was part of their family during my stay. As for Seville abroad, I couldn’t have picked a better program to come here with. I loved how Pepa and Chelo were always there for me whenever I had doubts and concerns, they made me feel so welcome at all times. I loved the amazing and well planned excursions we would have, (especially the one to Cadiz) and surely the other students within the program, they have become some of my best friends here, and it wouldn’t have been the same without them. To say the least, the entire program was almost like a little family abroad, and I loved it. I’m truly sad to be leaving Seville abroad and Spain so soon but I will definitely come back soon! First, I would like to thank Pepa Hernandez and Seville Abroad for the amazing experience I had this past spring. I spent second semester of my junior year living in Sevilla, Spain. I believe Seville Abroad is the best program I could have chosen and encourage any prospective student to use this incredible organization. Not only does Sevilla Abroad offer more amenities, like Spanish classes, extra curricular activities, and day trips around Andalusia, than other abroad programs, but they really get to know you as on the personal level. If I needed anything at all, I didn't hesitate to ask Pepa (Head coordinator) and she was always so helpful! She was like my second mom over in Spain. Even with the great Host Families, it's nice to have someone else that you can rely on. This program is extremely personalized, which is quite different than the array of other high school programs. I had a great experience at school as well. I felt confident entering the classroom after an orientation and encouragement from all of the administration and adults around me. My classmates were so kind and inclusive, I made the best friends while in Spain! I improved my Spanish skills in the classroom environment and was pushed to try my hardest by the hardworking staff. Seville Abroad offers the perfect program, whether it be for a year, 6 months, or a couple of weeks. They are accommodating in every aspect of the process, they even paid me a visit in my home town a few months before my departure! From a former student's perspective, I truly believe that Seville Abroad is the best way to spend your exchange in Spain. I had the experience of a lifetime and cherish my time spent abroad. Seville Abroad care so much about their students, its feels like a family!

I spent my spring semester last year in Spain with Seville Abroad. I remember dreaming of travelling to Spain years before I thought it was possible. Study abroad in Spain was the most transformational experience I have ever had the privilege of having and I wish everyone could have the experience I did. I have never traveled by myself before, but from the start, I felt like Seville Abroad was a great support my entire time abroad. I always felt safe and had someone to talk to when I needed it. My coordinator became like a second mom to me and one of my closest friends during my stay. My host family was amazing, from day one, they took me in as one of their own. They were amazing, and I really do feel like I have a second family away from home. Seville is stunning, it is truly a jewel in Europe and I feel so lucky to have call it my second home. The cultural experience you will get is awesome. I experienced events such as Feria de Abril and Semana Santa, which you will never be able to experience anywhere else on Earth. I learned so much, my Spanish level increased tremendously, and I grew to absolutely adore the language, although the first weeks were a bit hard for me. School was great, and I made so many friends there. I would encourage anyone considering studying abroad to go to Seville because it is a beautiful city with awesome culture.

This is the best program ever!! Cannot be happier after having chosen it. From the very first moment my mother contacted them, they have always been a fundamental support for us. It’s a real-life integration program to Spanish life. My family, my school, my friends... all 100% Spanish. School is completely different from what we are used to here but I loved it. My classmates accepted me from day 1 and they will be friends forever. My host family has been the best thing of my semester! I will always love them and I will always have close relationship with my 3 siblings, mother and father. Special mention to my coordinator, Pepa. She has been everything to me and my parents. She has been able to ease all our fears, she has always kept an eye on me. I do not have enough words to express my gratitude for her affection and her dedication.

I loved studying in Spain, it was such an unforgettable experience that I will gladly do it again, it was an adventure like nothing I ever had before, it made me rethink about my choices in life and my future pathway. I will never forget the people I met there, especially those who taught me much more than just the language and culture of Spain, the welcome I got was amazing and I will forever be grateful for all of it.

I chose this program because I wanted a program with total immersion (Spanish school and host family) and I wanted it to be in Seville because I have a friend who had been there the previous year and he was fascinated by the city. The experience has been very positive and I highly recommend it. My High school in Spain has been amazing and has allowed me to make many friends in Seville. First, I was shocked because dealing with the teachers and principal of the school was very different from what I was used to: everything is much more informal and direct, but it turned out to be very helpful for me. There were some American students, but few of them (in my class there were 2), and another girl from Canada, but most of my classmates were from Spain. My level of Spanish when I arrived was basic, but my coordinator assigned me a private tutor of Spanish every day for the first few months who was very involved in my evolution. After 6 months, my development of Spanish was incredible, and I am very proud because learning to develop my Spanish was one of my main objectives I feel very grateful for the support that my coordinator has given me all these months. She has always been very kind and helpful and has always been available when I needed her. My host family lived in a pretty nice neighborhood in the city center, which was very close to the school, and it turned out to be excellent from every point of view. I invite anyone who wants to have a similar experience away from home, do not hesitate. Spanish culture is very different from ours, but the effort is really worth it.

I cannot believe that my semester in Seville is about to come to an end. Seville is a beautiful, fun city with wonderful people who have always made me feel at ease. Relating to Seville Abroad, I would emphasize their proximity, they visited my family and me in my house in USA, before my travelling to Spain. They have given me their support all the time, before travelling until the end of the program, communication has been excellent. They do their best to give you whatever you need, they have treated me like one of the family, specially my coordinator Patricia, who has taken care of me with affection and has always been by my side supporting me both personal and academically in the most difficult moments of adaptation. My Spanish family has been the best part of this adventure!! I feel like I can't thank them enough... Thanks to my host mom for being so affectionate with me, for taking care of me, for treating me like her own daughter and cooking the best meals in the world! And thanks to Lucia, my sister for life!! Thank you for being everything to me, for helping me, teaching me, for you love, for your patience and for taking me with you everywhere!!
