Situated on the Jatunyacu River, Shandia is a prime location for kayaking and white-water rafting. The Manna Project International is hoping to capitalize on this in order to help break the cycle of poverty in the area. As part of Manna Project International's holistic approach to community development, they have a number of initiatives in operations at this site. Interns will be encouraged to move between these initiatives, even working outside of their academic focus, gaining insight and experience in a wide array of nonprofit work
