Program Overview

Small businesses are the backbone of communities in Likoni, Mombasa, and many of them are surviving on very thin margins. This internship puts you to work alongside micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners, delivering practical training in bookkeeping, sales, marketing, and business management. You’ll use your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and see directly how skills training translates into stronger livelihoods.

Mombasa is one of Kenya’s most vibrant cities, with a rich blend of Swahili, Arab, and African culture. The historic Old Town, Fort Jesus, and the warm Indian Ocean coastline are all within reach on weekends. It’s a city that gets under your skin quickly, and most interns leave wishing they’d stayed longer.
