Remote Marketing Internship: Animal Welfare in Zambia
Program Overview
This animal welfare internship is a great opportunity to be part of a grassroots animal welfare organization based in Livingstone, Zambia. You'll gain hugely varied work experience, and you'll be part of a small team on an important mission. It's also a great opportunity to spend some time living in this welcoming community next to the mighty Victoria Falls.
As an intern, you'll be part of all elements of the animal rescue work this organization does. You'll assist with education programs and operations in the field. You'll also have a chance to get involved in communication and fundraising campaigns. There's a large level of flexibility so that you can gain the type of experience you'd like.
Your tasks can include the following:
- Setting up animal welfare education days at local schools
- Helping organize and run vaccination programs
- Assisting with rescue operations
- Assisting with rehoming schemes
- Assisting with fundraising, donor management, and reporting
- Helping manage online communication channels
During weekends, you'll be able to visit Victoria Falls, explore the Zambezi by boat, or do some of the many other activities Livingstone has to offer.

Fluency in English is a prerequisite for the internship in Zambia, irrespective of whether it’s your native language or not. Effective written and verbal communication in English is vital for a smooth collaboration with team members and for meaningful interaction with local communities.

It is required to have some level of knowledge in graphic design, and photo or video editing.
Having previous experience in the marketing field is handy, but having a high level of expertise is not necessary since this marketing internship will allow you to use your creativity and enhance your skills overall .
What are the work hours & time zone expectations for this internship?
Since this internship allows you to intern remotely, there is a chance that you will work in a different time zone. In that case, we'll discuss your work schedule preferences with you and your supervisor to determine if a fixed schedule in your time zone or a flexible schedule would work best.
