Are you looking to gain meaningful work experience in the field of journalism? This is the perfect opportunity for you! You’ll be part of a well-established non-profit that uses radio as a tool to provide important information to rural African communities. They partner with local broadcasters to offer ideas and facts that can bring easy-to-implement solutions to everyday challenges, and improve people’s lives in significant ways. As an intern, you’ll help in mentoring young radio broadcasters who have not had much formal training. By working with them and sharing your knowledge, you’ll help to improve the quality of the broadcasts. Along with this, you can also work on interesting stories to gain some practical broadcasting experience. Your tasks will include: - Provide mentoring to young reporters in Malawi and help them develop basic journalism skills - Work alongside young reporters, research stories, and assist with production - Assist with interviewing and writing copy for broadcasts - Assist with digital audio editing - Write monthly progress reports
