Be part of a small nonprofit organization that helps street animals during this fundraising internship in Zambia! With the mission of addressing a large number of dogs and cats living on the streets of Livingstone, this NGO runs education, rescue, neutering, and rehoming programs. As an intern, you'll assist with the day-to-day running of this organization, and your main focus will be on their different fundraising avenues. Your work will likely include the following: - Research fundraising opportunities with international organizations and draft and submit grant applications - Assist with donor relationship management - Help run fundraising campaigns, both local and online - Assist with managing online communication channels - Organise pet adoption data and follow up with adopters - Assist with monitoring and reporting - Help organize education programs at local schools - Assist with animal rescue projects During this internship, you'll be lucky enough to be based in Livingstone, a welcoming town on the Zambezi, a short drive away from the magnificent Victoria Falls.

An experience I will cherish for the rest of my life
January 03, 2020by: DaphneIn general, I can conclude this was an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. I would definitely recommend an internship at ZAWS and even though it might sound cheesy, I would not have traded this experience for all the money in the world. Doing something with your skills in an organization that really needs it, and seeing that what you do really makes a difference, gives you a feeling of satisfaction you will never have experienced before. That, and a setting that is very rough, but also very beautiful, makes this internship worthwhile. If you love animals and you are keen on doing a marketing and communications internship in Africa – look no further.
