This is an exciting opportunity to build diverse business skills and experience supporting a unique organization dedicated to positive change. You’ll join an education and community development nonprofit and help to maintain and improve operations, engaging in a broad range of tasks. This program places you with a well-established education nonprofit based in Tacloban City, the Philippines. They provide extensive educational support to indigent communities offering a range of educational and vocational programs from their education center, and helping students to attend school throughout the city. Their aim is to combat poverty and inequality in the city by providing disadvantaged children the tools and life skills to build a better future. Your role will involve you in various aspects of the organization allowing you to develop a range of business skills and experience. Tasks will include everything from handling donor relations, to conducting impact assessments on projects. Along the way you’ll gain an understanding of grant writing, data analysis and processing, as well as communications and event project coordination.
