Teach & Thrive: Internship Experience in Egypt

My internship experience at Smith Collins School was truly outstanding and rewarding. During my time there, I gained a wealth of knowledge, both academically and personally. The environment was supportive, profesional, and full of opportunities to learn and grow. One of the most valuable aspects of this internship was the chance to work with students of different age groups which greatly improved my ability to adapt my teaching and communication styles to suit various learning needs. The staff at the school were welcoming and always willing to provide guidance. Overall, this internship not only enhanced my knowledge but also strengthened my self-confidence and passion for working with students. It was a meaningful experience that I will always value and carry forward in my future career.

Since it is a small school, interaction with every child is essential to their learning experience. There aren’t many children, so there is enough space for all of them to move around from class to class. Many hours aren’t required to get them through there daily lessons as well.

I undertook a volunteer placement with Baladna Projects in 2013 assisting with coordinating community activities and excursions, and on environment and circular economy projects and initiatives. Living in Australia, spending time in Red Sea, with Baladna Projects was an amazing learning and experience. Thanks for the memories and valuable lessons taken. Ben.
