This veterinary internship abroad takes place in an animal rescue center in Puyo, Ecuador, located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The center provides care for animals that have been abused, orphaned, or rescued from illegal wildlife trade within Ecuador. During this program, participants work alongside experienced professionals while studying native species of the Amazon. 

This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to gain university credits while actively contributing to wildlife protection and conservation efforts in the region. Designed as a structured training experience, this veterinary internship is open to both students and individuals with a professional background. Interns are involved in a range of activities, including veterinary care, biological observation, and the rehabilitation of animals with the goal of reintroduction into their natural habitats. 

Applicants should be studying or have a background in an animal-related field such as veterinary medicine, biology, animal science, or environmental engineering.
