Reach Cambridge International Summer Courses

Reach Cambridge was a completely new experience for me, especially as someone who had never attended a summer camp abroad before. It was truly unforgettable — not only did it enrich me academically, but it also strengthened my confidence in pursuing a medical pathway. Beyond the classroom, I had the chance to connect with people from all over the world and experience their cultures, making it even more meaningful. I really enjoyed the activities arranged for us, where we were encouraged to interact with new people, and make new friends. I would say it truly gave me a college experience I hadn't had up to this point in my educational career.

Reach Cambridge was by far the most wonderful, interesting and inspiring experience I have ever done: it all started as an opportunity to learn about new things in the science field, but in the end it also gave me a taste of what studying at Cambridge University looks like and allowed me to get to know new incredible people from all over the world. I attended the STEM course, and as someone who wanted to clear their mind about college decisions by getting a taste of each of the major scientific disciplines, this was undoubtedly the best choice I could make. What I liked the most about this course is that it allowed me to change classes and teachers every few days, which gave me the opportunity of knowing new incredible people even from other colleges while also forging strong friendships with my actual STEM classmates. I also found experiencing very different teaching and learning styles extremely useful for my future. But what I enjoyed most other than the STEM course were the activities the amazing Reach Cambridge staff organised: from postcard making to t-shirt panting, from punting on the river to a super fun graduation party at the end of the program, there was absolutely no time to get bored! Weekends were also incredibly busy and fun: we got to visit Hampton Court Palace and to attend an original Shakespeare play in the actual Globe theatre in London! So overall, I can say I would definitely go back to Reach for a second summer experience, and I would absolutely recommend other people my age to try it!

Reach Cambridge was a great experience for me because I could meet many people from all around the world and make lots of new friends. Living in one of the colleges of Cambridge and taking academically orientated classes was also good to experience and prepare for university life.

Law, It was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life and there is no doubt that it is a really important memory for me. I had the chance to learn about law, a law completely different compared to my country’s. I had the chance to actually visit multiple courts and observe cases. I had the chance to practice law myself, either in the classroom or the court. I met so many people, from all over the world, who I will never ever forget. Even if I met them 2 weeks ago or maybe less, they really feel like a family to me. If I had the chance I would do all over again!

The experience in the Reach Cambridge program was one that will stay with me. The lessons allowed me to look at psychology as a whole, get to know new aspects of it and solidify what the best choices for me are going into university. Above all, I got the chance to meet and make connections with amazing people from all around the world. I never felt alone since I found my community but I also created a new one here with the other students and the staff. Reach Cambridge you’re going to be missed but you gave me confidence for what I’m doing next.

I had a really amazing experience on the Reach Cambridge Program and met so many awesome people. I did the medicine and life sciences program which was really interesting, well-paced and really interactive. I also did the pre-hospital and emergency medicine taster course which was really informative and fun. We also got lots of time to explore the city of Cambridge and meet people in other classes. Everyone on the program has been really welcoming, the staff are lovely and I've made some really amazing friends here. I would really recommend this program to any young person looking for an amazing experience.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. I made amazing and intense bonds and connections with people that will last. The education has been fantastic and I’ve learned such a high caliber of knowledge in my field.

Reach Cambridge has allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, meet amazing new people from all over the world and take part in a course that I am passionate about. I had an amazing experience at Reach.

This program with Reach Cambridge is one of the best summer experiences I've had my whole life! Everyone is incredibly friendly and the environment is inspiring. There is no other place on Earth like Cambridge.

My Reach Cambridge experience was one of the most fun I’ve ever had in two weeks! It was the perfect mix of free time and engaging activities for me. Also, I got to meet really diverse, amazing people who I can’t wait to keep in contact with.

This was honestly an experience I will never forget. On the day I arrived I was a bit shy but after talking with people I realized we were all in the same boat. I have learnt a lot about peoples different cultures and their livelihoods. I have made lifelong friends from all over the world! And finally I have met supervisors and teachers who made me feel safe and comfortable.

Reach Cambridge was without a doubt the best experience of my life. I enjoyed the freedom it provided, while being gently introduced to what university life is like. I made some lifelong friends from all over the world, and got to have many interesting debates and discussions in my classes that helped me open my mind, change my viewpoint and sometimes challenge my way of thinking. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to everyone and anyone, and the weather was beautiful as well!

For me, Reach Cambridge has perfectly balanced a taste of university life and its freedoms with the structure and safety provided by the lovely Reach staff. I now feel more confident in my chosen field, in my future but also in myself. I have made friendships from all around the world that I'm sure will last a lifetime.

I really enjoyed this experience and I’ve never felt so connected to a place and the people in it. I’ve met some truly amazing people and will never lose connections with them. This whole program helped me so much and felt like a breath of fresh air.

I had a wonderful time attending well-thought-out, interesting classes with Reach Cambridge all while making friends from all over the world. It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to all.

My daughter attended a 2 week program with Reach Cambridge where she took a Computer Science and Film Making taster course. She enjoyed both and made friends from many different countries. I felt she was safe, happy and engaged while she was there which was a great 1st summer school experience for us. thank you RC!

Reach was not only an academic experience. Besides the classes that were given by amazing professionals that made me feel comfortable and confident with the subject and with myself, all the interaction with people from all around, with different perspectives of the world, different cultures, and manners than me were the high point of it all. Now, after Reach, I have knowledge about some places that before I only knew the basics, I have people, that I can truly call it my friends, from all around and that also made me connect with my own country and with myself. At Reach, I didn't feel in a foreign country, if I was in a different and unknown place, like if I was lost and confused. Even though was my first trip to England and also abroad, I felt safe all the time. All the staff members were super supportive when they felt someone needed something and really welcoming since the beginning. I only have good things to talk about Reach. I have amazing memories that I will forever remember and keep it all in my heart.

The reach Cambridge biotech course was a great experience for my child. The course content featured some of the most exciting and current developments in the life sciences. The lab experiences were also very good. I would not recommend the taster courses as they are very expensive for the amount of time- in our case, the taster ran for only 2.5 afternoons.

Even though I participated in the program for one week, it seemed like a month had passed - there were so many activities, amazing people and unique experiences that I truly did not want to go home. We had a chance to see how interesting and thought-provoking the lectures at Cambridge are and how many intelligent, kind-hearted and life-smart people there are on campus. The program left me with so many memories that I still remember how I felt every day at Reach - welcomed, happy and with limitless possibilities for me to explore.
