Shanghai: High School Business, Design & Technology Program

Spend two weeks in Shanghai exploring the intersection of business, technology, and design on a high school summer program in China. Meet entrepreneurs, small business owners, and other professionals to learn how companies in one of the world's major commercial centers develop products, build brands, and respond to changing markets. Take part in a hands-on design challenge with professional mentorship from the Design Innovation Institute Shanghai (DIIS), developing an idea from an initial concept toward a prototype and market strategy. Along the way, learn introductory Mandarin, discover Shanghai's technology and business communities, and travel beyond the city into the Yangtze River Delta. Visit Hangzhou and the UNESCO-listed West Lake, explore the region's cultural heritage, and gain a firsthand perspective on China's rapidly evolving economy.
