Finland: High School Wellness & Wilderness Summer Program
Program Overview
Discover Finland on a high school summer program that combines outdoor adventure, cultural immersion, and Finnish approaches to wellness and sustainability. Explore Helsinki's waterfront, markets, architecture, and sauna culture before heading north through Finland's forests, lakes, and islands. Travel into Finnish Lapland and across the Arctic Circle, then experience the country's southern lake region and Baltic coastline. Along the way, kayak through a UNESCO Global Geopark, cycle through cities and rural landscapes, forage for wild berries, and prepare traditional Finnish food over a fire. Students also spend time with Finnish teens and families, gaining insight into everyday life and learning how Finland's strong connection to nature influences food, recreation, community, and wellbeing. With opportunities for hiking, paddling, cycling, cooking, and cultural exchange, this Finland summer program offers an active way to experience one of Europe's most nature-focused countries.
