The work will be varied and rewarding; you could be learning from local doctors in a large hospital one day and treating local Masai in a rural location the next. You will have the chance to attend regular medical workshops and learn more about current local issues such as HIV and tropical diseases. Over the years Tanzania has tried hard to teach the younger generation about health awareness and disease prevention. During your two weeks you will be able to go to the local orphanages and carry out fun and interactive activities with the children regarding different healthcare issues.
