This is a high quality program and it costs about half the price of other TESL Canada Standard 2 programs. The assignments in the online course takes you through every step of a lesson plan to the point that you are able to do full lesson plans with authentic materials. Highly recommended for those who want to take the job seriously and build a career. The Practicum is essential if you want to be ready for the job, as you will be placed in a real classroom situation and your lesson planning skills will be put to the test in a fast-paced environment.

In short, I can summarise my whole experience by saying I learned a lot. I took online courses before and they were so easy. The fact this course wasn't a stroll in the park is what makes Ontesol a trusted institution. The course comes fully integrated with a tutor who is there every step of the way to guide and correct. I learned so much from my tutor!!! It was easy to get a job using their board. I had contacted the recruiter coordinator when I was in my last module and she provided tons of support.

I am highly satisfied with my experience. Not at any point did I feel I was doing an online course because the support I received from my tutor was superb. The job assistance is very good if you want to teach in East Asia because they offer direct recruitment services with very good schools. For all other places, you will get a list of schools and some help with finding job ads, but they don't actively recruit teachers for countries in Europe or Latin America. Overall, Ontesol is a great program.
