Noah's Ark is a registered non-profit civil society organization dedicated to the development of underprivileged women and children, along with environmental conservation and sustainable development through education and training. We are a non-denominational, non-profit society registered with the government, and we have been operating since 2005 with an office in Kolkata. Our governing body consists of nine (9) members. The planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects take place in regular board meetings and an annual general meeting. Over the past nineteen years, we have successfully developed and initiated community development projects in Suburban South Kolkata (Thakurpukur), South 24 Parganas District, the Tribal region of Keshiary in Paschim Medinipur (West Midnapore), and the state of Sikkim. These projects have focused on poverty alleviation and social empowerment, particularly targeting marginalized women and special children. Our development projects include initiatives such as developmental projects for women and youth in Pakyong, East Sikkim, India, the Love & Care Special School for underprivileged specially abled children in Kolkata, a charitable weekly health clinic, an income-generating project of manufacturing handicrafts by Sinai Enterprise, serving the elderly, and community visits to help during natural disasters and times of need.
