Program Overview

If you like to travel and interact with people from other countries, this placement is perfect for you. Teach English in a friendly and personal setting while learning about Indonesian culture and making lifelong friends! We welcome native speakers and non-native speakers with good conversarion skills.

Our cultural exchange program places students in Makassar, Indonesia, with English speakers for conversation sessions. This is a great way to help Indonesian youth learn English expressions, vocabulary, and speech patterns—all while getting to know you and your culture. Activities outside class include city tours and other excursions wherein you, in turn, learn about Indonesia's fascinating history and culture, see the way Indonesians live, and explore several parts of this beautiful country. Your students build their English skills by acting as your tour guides.
