Mente Argentina offers a Medical and Public Health internship in Buenos Aires. The internship puts students in the middle of the action in two of the city's best public hospitals. Interns will assist in local public healthcare centers, clinics, and hospitals that provide free medical and social services, and health and safety information to community members. Interns will put their time, medical skills, and abilities to use in the program, working with clinic staff, assisting in medical procedures, health and safety workshops, and information sessions.

Participants will also assist in social services, spending quality time with patients, reading or playing games, and helping improve the overall quality of the patients' stay at the hospital. Students with medical experience or training will be able to assist doctors at a local community center in a variety of areas depending on their specific previous experience and capacities.

The placement is ideal for self-motivated students who are willing to take the lead on new projects within the hospital and learn about the public health system in Argentina.
