Hands-on experience is a vital part of expanding your knowledge, know-how, and understanding of the business world. With the ever-expanding global economy, it's important to get experience in how business is conducted in all corners of the world. Micro-business interns work in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru. Among other things, internship work may include Accounting set-up, education and training for up-and-coming entrepreneurs, improving small company marketing and client service, and helping small business owners better understand how to use the internet to grow as a global business.

There are 2 options for hospitality and tourism placements:

- 4-Week "Practicum"
- 8-Week "Internship"

Additional time for your internship can always be added.

Micro-Business programs require interns to have an intermediate level of Spanish at a minimum. If your Spanish is not at the required level (based on interview), you will need to complete up to 80 hours of online or on-site Spanish classes with a qualified Maximo Nivel instructor prior to the start of your internship.
