This project was created to preserve the amazing sea turtle, drastically reducing in number to the point where it is now on the endangered species list due to decades of indiscriminate human plundering. Sadly, its entire population could be lost forever without widespread conservation efforts, including environmental research and re-education programs. This conservation project focuses on protecting and nurturing the clutches of eggs laid across beach nesting grounds on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. The nesting and hatching season of several sea turtle species is between June and February. The project also works on other conservation and research initiatives from March to July.
